URSUANT to the Control of Price Act, 1947, tho Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the ]Ilini"ter of Industries and Commerce, P doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :- 1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1029, and shall be rearl together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 872* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order). 2. This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of July, 1949. 3. (1) Price Order No. 891 t is hereby revoked. Price Order No. 1030 (Tires and Tube8)

URSUANT to the ControIofPrices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority oithe lIiinister ofIndustries and Commeroe, P doth hereby make the following Price Order:- 1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1080, and shall come into force On the 1st day of July, 1949. ApPLICATION OF Tms ORDER 2. This Order applies with respect to all new tires and new tubes whether imported into New Zealand or manufactured in New Zealand of the kind described in the Schedule hereto.

FIXING :MAxIMUM WHOLESALE AND RETAIL PRICES OF GOODS TO WHICH THIS ORDER ApPLIES Wholesalers' Prices 3. (1) Subject to the following provisions of this Order the maximum price that may be charged or received at any place in New Zealand by any wholesaler for any tires or tubes to which this Order applies shall be the appropriate price specified in the Schedule hereto. (2) The maximum wholesale prices specified in the said Schedule shall be reduced by a discount equal to 5 per cent. thereof where payment is made on or before the 20th day of the calender month next following the calender month in which delivery is made by the wholesaler. (3) The maximum prices fixed by the foregoing provisions of this clause are exclusive of sales-tax. Fixing Special Prices for Sales to Local Authorities 4. (1) Subject to the following provisions of this clause the maximum price that may be charged or received by any person for any tires or tubes sold to a local authority shall be the appropriate wholesale price (including discount) specified in the Schedule hereto increased by an amount equal to 24·32 per cent. of that price. (2) The maximum price fixed in the preceding subclause is inclusive of sales-tax and is not subject to any discount. Retailers' Prices 5. (I) Subject to the following provisions oftbis olause the maximum price that may be charged or received at any place in New Zealand by a retailer for any tires or tubes to which this Order applies shall be the appropriate price specified in the Schedule hereto. (2) With respect to tires the maximum prices specified in the said Schedule shall be reduced by the amount of the discount spccified in the Schedule where payment is made on or before the 20th day of the calendar month next following the calendar month in which delivery i8 made by the retailer. (3) With respect to tubes the maximum prices specified in the said Schedule are not subject to any discount. (4) With respect to car tires the maximum prices fixed as aforesaid are inclusive of the cost of fitting the tires. SPECIAL PRICES WHERE EXTRAORDINARY CHARGES INOuRRED Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing provisions of this Order and subject to such conditions, if any, as it thinks fit, the Tribunal, on application by any wholesaler or retailer, may authorize special prices in respect of any tires or tubes to which this Order applies where special cireumstances exist or fot' any reason extraordinary charges (freight or otherwise) are incurred by the wholesaler or retailer. Any authority given by the Tribunal under this clause may apply with respect to a .pecified lot or consignment of tires or tubes or may relate generally to all tires or tubes to wbich this Order applies saId by the wholesaler or retailer while_the approval remains in force.
