Clearly, a strong archetypal and elemental relationship exists between The Tzolkin and our 13 Egyptian signs.Serpent and Eagle align with the Galactic Gateways.The Mayan Year- Bearer signs are the Solstice and Equinox points.When a precession -al value of 24 degrees is used, the elemental connection grows ,Taurus becomes more like an Earth sign , Gemini becomes an Air sign etc. One will also notice the ruling planets change, but also how well the Mayan,and Western systems match. While it is true, The Mayan Calendar is written in stone, aspects of it remain a mystery and are open to interpretation.With a brief amount of study, one is able to see many clear links between many of the worlds Calendars,especialy the Tibetan/ Chinese and the Mayan/Egytian systems. The first 2 pages of this essay should be very convincing.There are too many solid links across the cultural spectrum.I have recently recieved two additional pieces of information, which could be the proof I require. The 20 Directional Deities in the Venus Table(Dresden Codex),could represent the actual Mayan Zodiac.A few researchers have suggested this possibility, without finding where the merge in Virgo. TheTzolkins 20 Sun signs seem very similar to the 20 Directional Deities? This leads to the other large piece of supporting information. The period of theSun and Venus used in the Codex are off by a fraction of a day! The Haab “Solar” cycle begins on March 21.This Day should be one of the Year Bearer signs in the Tzolkin.This Year on March 21, the Tzolkin sign was 11 Muluc.This is not one of the Traditional Year Bearer signs. As I mentioned earlier,There is a slight error in the Venus Table. The Maya counted from sunset,so at sunset, still March 21, the Tzolkin sign was 12 Oc,Dog.The next 3 Haab cycles leading up to 2012 also exhibit this pattern.There is also a slight error in the Tzolkin which seems to correct itself on March 21 ,2012 with a 2 Chicchan(Serpent) year.This is relevent as the Sun occupies the same sign on December 21, 2012. In the Tzolkin,the signs Dog, Eagle, Sun and Serpent represent the Crown Chakra.These currently are the signs where the Solstice and Equinoxes occur.The traditional Year Bearer signs represent the Mayan era seasons.These have now moved backward because of precession, and the Tzolkin /Haab initiation dates, reflect this truth.It would be impossible to know this unless the Tzolkin is viewed as the . The Haab Cycle is associated with the Cycle of Rains , Agriculture and the harvest.The signs Manik(Water/Water) and Eb(Fire/Fire),are both ruled by the planet Earth.The Haab is not the real Solar Zodiac. It seems to be the Seasonal Tropical cycle.Maybe the Haab’s 18 signs also relates to the rotation of the moon’s nodes, 18.6 years. The March 21 Tzolkin dates are clear proof that the Year Bearer signs have shifted from Their original position into the Age of the Dog.This also explains why some people believe we have already entered the age of Aquarius. The Air sign Dog overlaps Pisces and Aquarius. All of this information is easily verified,I suggest finding your Tzolkin sign, and then find the Sidereal position of Venus in your natal chart.
