G.O.(D)NO. 228 DATED: 07. 5.2010. READ:

1) G.O. Ms.No.443. Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department (MA.II) Department. dated 21.10.2008. 2) From the Director of Municipal Administration Lr. Roc.No.41726/2008/JNN- 2, Dated 24.6.2009. ------ORDER: In the letter second read above, the Director of Municipal Administration has stated that the detailed Project Report has been prepared by Tamil Nadu Water Supply & Drainage Board for implementation of Water Supply Scheme in Rasipuram Municipality at a cost of Rs.810.25 lakhs. This was placed before the 4th Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns State Level Sanctioning Committee meeting held on 17.3.2008 and the project cost of Rs.669.20 lakhs for Rasipuram Municipality was approved.

2. The Director of Municipal Administration has also stated that in G.O.(D) No.443, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department (MA.II) Department, dated 21.10.2008 orders were issued by Government according Administrative Sanction for implementation of Water Supply improvement Scheme to Rasipuram Municipality at a cost of Rs.669.20 lakhs and under the Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Towns Scheme. The Government of India has cleared the Water Supply Scheme to Rasipuram Municipality and the Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu have released the Ist installment of funds as detailed below:- (Rs,in lakhs) Sl. The Director of Municipal Administration has further stated that the revised Detailed Project Report was prepared by the TWAD Board for Rasipuram Municipality at an estimated cost of Rs8.25 Crores . The Urban Local Body has passed a resolution agreeing to get additional loan from Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.

4. 5. The Government after careful examination accord Revised Administrative Sanction for the Rasipuram Municipality for Water Supply Scheme at a revised cost of Rs. 825.25 lakhs. 6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O. No. 1399/MAWS /2010, dated 10.3.2010.
