WATER 817-685-1471 Making Euless More Accessible October October Making City facilities accessible to all is a priority for the City Council. The city’s ADA Transition Plan is a road map for addressing identified barriers to access for persons with disabilities. The plan highlights steps that have been taken to improve physical accessibility and program accessibility for residents. It also shows accessibility initiatives planned for the future.

ADA-compliant projects recently completed include: • Making the Library fully compliant during its renovation last year • Addressing all issues for the Parks at Texas Star during its renovation • Installing compliant picnic tables at all City parks • Replacing the outdoor pool lift at the Aquatic Park • Lowering pedestrian entrance buttons at intersections

ADA-compliant projects planned for this year include: • Building a new Fire Station 1 that is completely accessible • Fixing slopes in the parking areas of Wilshire Park during an upcoming renovation • Adding more sidewalks and curb ramps to City streets

The ADA Transition Plan will help the City of Euless provide continued improvements to our facilities in order meet the growing needs of citizens with accessibility. For more information, access the ADA Transition Plan from the Accessibility page at eulesstx.gov, or call 817-685-1439.
