    SIMULAÇÃO DO PROCESSO DE INFILTRAÇÃO NA BACIA DE JUATUBA - MG COM O MODELO HETP UTILIZANDO A TÉCNICA DE TRAÇADORES Marcos Machado Drumond1; Stela Dalva Santos Cota2 & Paulo Cesar Horta Rodrigues3 Resumo – Apresentam-se neste trabalho os resultados da aplicação do modelo HETP - Height Equivalent Theoretical Plates aos dados obtidos em um trabalho experimental realizado na Bacia Representativa de Juatuba (MG), entre novembro de 1999 e maio de 2003. Nesse trabalho experimental utilizou-se a técnica de traçadores para estudar o deslocamento da umidade na zona não saturada do solo e para determinar as taxas de infiltração em 11 parcelas, com dimensões de 3 m x 6 m, representativas da bacia em estudo. A comparação entre os resultados obtidos com os experimentos e com o modelo HETP indicaram que, apesar da sua simplicidade, o modelo HETP simulou de forma satisfatória o fluxo da umidade no interior do solo e que pode ser bastante útil para estimar as taxas de infiltração, principalmente se empregado em conjunto com a técnica de traçadores. Abstract – In this paper an application of Height Equivalent Theoretical Plates - HETP model to the data obtained in a experimental work carried out from November 1999 to May 2003, in the Representative Basin of Juatuba (Minas Gerais State), is presented. In this experimental work tracer technique was used to study the displacement of the moisture in the unsaturated zone and to determine the infiltration rates in 11 basin representative parcels, with dimensions of 3 m x 6 m. The comparison of the experimental and HETP model results has indicated that, despite its simplicity, this model has simulated satisfactorily the moisture flow in soil and that it can be useful to evaluate the infiltration rates, mainly if in association with tracer technique.
