Changes to Subsidised Bus Services in the Wantage and Didcot area from Sunday December 11 2011
Wantage area services Service 31: Wantage-Marcham-Abingdon-Oxford (Mon-Thurs and Sun eves) Continues largely unchanged
Service 32: Grove-Wantage-Hendreds-Harwell-Didcot-Abingdon (Mon-Sat) Hourly service continues: provided commercially by Thames Travel. Some minor changes to departure tiimes. Service withdrawn from Ardington and West Hanney: replaced by new service A1 (see below). Service X47 links Ardington with Wantage on Saturdays
Service 32A: Grove-Wantage-Hendreds-Harwell-Didcot (Sun/Bank Hols) Revised two-hourly service with new through journeys to Oxford. Extensions to Abingdon withdrawn. New operator (Thames Travel)
Services 32B/32C: Abingdon-Drayton-Steventon/Sutton Courtenay-Didcot (daily evening service) Services continue broadly unchanged.
Services 36/X36: Grove-Wantage-Steventon-Milton Park-Didcot (Mon-Fri) Service continues broadly as now but with minor changes until June 2012 to enable further review. New operator (Thames Travel).
Service 38: Wantage Town Service/Wantage-Childrey (Mon-Sat) Service continues broadly unchanged, but with minor changes to morning departure times. Extension of final journey to Faringdon withdrawn due to low usage.
Service A1: NEW SERVICE Ardington-Lockinge-West Hanney-Wantage Monday, Wednesday and Friday off-peak shoppers’ service operated by Oxfordshire County Council Integrated Transport Unit
Didcot area services Services 94/95: Didcot-Hagbournes-Moretons-Blewbury (Mon-Sat) Service continues with earlier start time, later final journey and improved connections with X32, other bus services and trains at Didcot. New operator (Thames Travel)
Service 98: Didcot-Great Western Park (Mon-Sat FROM FEB 2012) NEW SERVICE: shuttle service linking town centre with Great Western Park. Broadly every twenty minutes. Operated by RH Transport
