O R D E R

Sri Md.Rukmuddin, 509 102 has filed a Complaint dated 28-05-2017 which was received by this Commission on 29-05-2017 for not getting the information sought by him from the PIO / O/o. the Mandal Parishad Development Officer, MPP-Peddamandadi Mandal, Wanaparthy District.

The brief facts of the case as per the Complaint and other records received along with it are that the Complainant herein filed an application dated 01-04-2017 before the PIO requesting to furnish the information under Sec.6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005, on the following points mentioned in his application annexed. The Public Information Officer has not furnished the information to the Complainant. As the Complainant did not receive the required information from the PIO even after 30 days of filing his application, he preferred this Complaint before the Commission requesting to arrange to furnish the information sought by him u/s 18(1) of the RTI Act, 2005. The Complaint was taken on file and notices were issued to both the parties for hearing on 3-1-2019.

On 3-1-2019 the case is called. The complainant is absent. The Public Information Officer, Supdt., O/o the MPDO, Peddamandadi Mandal, Wanaparthy is present. The Public Information Officer submitted that through letter dated 14.05.2017 the complainant was informed to pay an amount of Rs.2100/- towards cost of information but the complainant did not pay the requisite amount. As such the sought information could not be furnished to the complainant. Heard the Public Information Officer and perused the records. The Commission observed that the Public Information Officer did not file copy of the said letter dated 14.05.2017. The Public Information Officer submitted that she did not take charge of records from her predecessor and she would submit copy of the letter dated 14.05.2017 to the Commission after taking charge. The Commission directs the PIO to furnish the sought information to the complainant on payment of requisite amount. The Public Information Officer is directed to submit copy of letter dated 14.05.2017 together with dispatch proof to the Commission within one week from the date of receipt of this order.

With the above direction, the complaint is closed.
