Más de treinta años después de su primer disco, el trío vendrá a presentarnos su último álbum ‘Quiet and Peace’ (2018) y hacer un repaso de su extensa trayectoria. La banda formada por Bill Janovitz (voz y guitarra), Chris Colbourn (bajo y coros) y Tom Maginnis comenzó su carrera en 1986 publicando su primer álbum homónimo hace más de tres décadas. En 1998, tras el lanzamiento de ‘Smitten’, BUFFALO TOM decidió parar durante casi diez años para dedicarse a sus familias y dejar en segundo plano a la música, reuniéndose solo para actuaciones puntuales. “Empezamos siendo amigos y rápidamente nos convertimos en hermanos, todos crecimos dentro de esta relación” cuenta Janovitz. “Cuando empezamos éramos sin duda una banda de clase trabajadora. Si no hubiéramos trabajado, no podríamos habernos ganado la vida. Por lo que siempre estábamos girando o haciendo otro disco. Te acostumbras a esos hábitos y entras en un círculo vicioso”. BUFFALO TOM publicó el pasado año su noveno álbum de estudio titulado ‘Quiet and Peace’ con el que vuelve a sus orígenes. “Intentamos hacer cosas diferentes en este disco, pero al mismo tiempo, son las canciones más Buffalo Tom que he escrito nunca. Creo que nuestras canciones están más enraizadas y son menos opacas ahora de lo que solían ser. La gran diferencia es el mensaje de las canciones. Nunca hubiera cantado desde la perspectiva de otro personaje cuando tenía 20 años. Pero ahora sí puedo hacerlo” dice Janovitz.
