This ambitious project was launched in 2009 as a national open juried print exhibition and expanded in 2012 to include the Americas. Wanting to highlight the important role printmaking has both in contemporary work and through historical methodologies, OPT was created to bring together the very best in current printmaking practices. This successful partnership between VPAG, the Kelowna Art Gallery and UBC Okanagan has flourished since its inception and was recognized for its regional importance by the BC Arts Council through the award of an innovations grant. Interest in this exhibition continues to grow and applications were received from 179 artists from 35 countries around the world. Our journey will take us to the Albanian Drama Theater in Skopje, in 1980. The event takes place eight years later. In 1972, the first Albanian director invited by the Theater of Nationalities was Kujtim Spahivogli, who put on stage ―Korça Carnivals,‖ a comedy by Spiro Çomora. Then, during a 10-day-visit of the delegation of the Theater of Nationalities Skopje, in Tirana, in 1973, two plays were put on stage: ―The Gone‖ and ―Korça Carnivals.‖ In 1980, he was the second and last director, invited by Albania, until after the 90ties, when Albanian totalitarian regime fell. The director, Serafin Fanko, together with set designer, costume designer and notable painter Ksenofon Dilo, put on stage the drama ―Nita,‖ of the Arbëresh author Josip Rela; its premier took place on May 10, 1980 in the Albanian theater drama in the Theater of Nationalities in Skopje. Director Serafin Fanko is the first director who put the national flag in the Albanian drama set, which caused commotion in the Macedonian government and the police tried to stop the performance, but they weren‘t successful due to the pressure of the public.

Pentru realizarea lucrării au fost cercetate, cu predilecţie, revistele literare şi de cultură, precum şi suplimentele culturale ale unor ziare, care au intrat în colecţiile bibliotecii într-un interval de peste un deceniu. Lipsurile din colecţii se reflectă, inevitabil, şi în bibliografie. Lucrarea nu reţine creaţiile autorilor străini, clasici şi contemporani, publicate în presa literară, ci doar studiile critice dedicate acestora şi cronicile la volumele lor, publicate în traducere românească. Au intrat în bibliografie, pentru valoarea lor ca documente de istorie literară, interviurile acordate de scriitori. Există şi referinţe la unii scriitori români, atunci cînd fac obiectul unor studii comparatiste şi sînt comentaţi împreună cu scriitori străini. Partea a II-a a lucrării cuprinde studiile şi articolele despre scriitori şi literaturi străine publicate de criticii şi universitarii ieşeni, cronicile la volumele lor pe teme de literatură universală, precum şi cronicile la volume de autori străini traduse sau îngrijite de ieşeni. Organizarea informaţiilor bibliografice s-a făcut după criteriul tradiţional al genurilor literare. Primele două capitole din fiecare parte a lucrării cuprind critica poeziei şi critica prozei, genurile cele mai bine reprezentate în peisajul literar.
