One species - Molorchus tenuitarsis HOLZSCHUH,198l, - is a new synonym and 2 subspecies are described: Cortodera humeralis orientalis ssp.n. and Mo- lorchus kiesenwetteri anatolicus ssp.n. The first record of the longhorn beetle Chlorophorus herbstii (Brahm, 1790) (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) from Norway. Norwegian Journal of Entomology 59, 59–62. In this paper we present the first records of the longhorn beetleChlorophorus herbstii (Brahm, 1790) from Hole, Buskerud in Norway. The species was found in a southwest faced stone scree with a mixed composition of tree species, dominated by lime. Several rare and red listed species of Coleoptera and Hymenoptera were found at the same site, indicating a high variety of insects dependent on trees in different stages of decomposition. Many of the sources posed problems concerning numerical data on immi gration, especially for the months leading up to the end of the British Mandate, January-April 1948, and the first few months of the state, May August 1948. The researchers point out that 7,574 immigrant data cards are missing from the records and believe this to be due to the 'circumstances of the times'. Records are complete from September 1948 onward, and an important population census was held in November 1948. A parallel record ing system conducted by the Jewish Agency, which continued to operate after that of the Mandatory Government, provided us with statistical data for immigration during 1948-9 and made it possible to analyse the part taken by the Holocaust survivors. -

These, however, may constitute important safe havens for saproxylic organisms since forest reserves are relatively numerous in Europe. Saproxylic beetles are among the key groups for the assessment of biodiversity in forest habitats and longhorn beetles may play an important role in bioindication as they are ecologically associated with various micro- habitats and considered a very heterogeneous family of insects. To study the role of forest reserves as important habitats for saproxylic beetles, we compared cerambycid assemblages in corresponding pairs of sites (nature reserves and managed stands) in a forest region under high anthropogenic pressure (Upper Silesia, Poland, Central Europe). -

Munis Entomology & Zoology, 9 (2): 687-712] ABSTRACT: The aim of this study is to create a Turkish Red List of the longicorn beetles. Moreover, presence such a Red List is necessary for Turkey. Even governmental evaluations could cause some erroneous decisions due to absence such a Red List. Since, governmental evaluations at the present time are based on the works that are realized with respect to the European Red List. Furthernore, Turkey appears a continental property changeable in very short distances in terms of climatical features and field structures. So, the status of European fauna and the status of Turkish fauna are not the same. Clearly, there is no any work that subjected to create a Turkish Red List except Parts I-VII. Hence, a series work is planned with this purpose. This type of study is the eighth attempt for Turkey. KEY WORDS: Red List, Conservation, Cerambycidae, Turkey. STOJANOVIĆ2 1Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia, Radnička 20a, 21000 Novi Sad, Serbia 2Fruška Gora National Park, Zmajev trg 1, 21208 Sremska Kamenica, Serbia ABSTRACT: Determinated of new longhorn beetle material (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) collected on Mt. Fruška Gora during the period of 2002 - 2005 has shown the presence of 29 species and three sub- species. Of that number, one species is new to the Serbian fauna, seven species or subspecies are regis- tered for the first time for Mt. Fruška Gora, three species are Balkan endemics, and 10 species or sub- species are rare in Serbia. The presence of Icosium tomentosum atticum Ganglbauer, 1881 in Serbia is confirmed by this entomological investigation. KEYWORDS: Cerambycidae, endemic and rare species, Balkan Mt. Fruška Gora INTRODUCTION Mount Fruška Gora is in many respects (geomorphological, faunistic, floristic, etc.) a special mountain massif. It is cut off from the rest of the Dinarid system and is surrounded by lowland. Since the 1950’s a few researchers investigated the mountain’s entomofauna (ADAMOVIĆ, 1950, 1965; MIKŠIĆ, 1963; ILIĆ, 2005; PIL and STOJANOVIĆ, 2005a, b). Until now 126 cerambycid species were registered on this massif. That number includes some species which were there noted for the first time for Serbia, as well as rare and endemic species. MATERIAL AND METHODS Material was collected on field trips on Mt. Fruška Gora during the period of 2002 - 2005. -

Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, POB 12, Rehovot 76100, Israel Email: [email protected] ABSTRACT Scale insects (Hemiptera: Coccoidea) of four species of oaks (Fagaceae: Quercus) in Israel namely, Q. boissieri, Q. calliprinos, Q. ithaburensis, and Q. look were collected and identified from natural forest stands during the period 2010-2013. A total of twenty-seven species were determined from nine scale insect families: Asterolecaniidae (3 species), Coccidae (3), Di- aspididae (7), Eriococcidae (3), Kermesidae (6), Kuwaniidae (1), Mono- phlebidae (1), Pseudococcidae (2), and Putoidae (1). Six of these species represent new records for Israel and five are identified to the genus level. Kuwaniidae is a new family record for Israel. Species that were previously collected or recorded on oaks in Israel are listed and discussed. Information is given about host trees and global distribution. The majority of the spe- cies reported here are monophagous or stenophagous and they appear to be non-pestiferous to the oak trees in Israel. General traits that describe each scale insect family in the field are provided, together with an identification key to aid in the determination of slide-mounted specimens into families represented in this study. Munis Entomology & Zoology, 7 (1): 22-45] ABSTRACT. The paper gives an annotated list of the Cerambycidae collected during the entomological surveys carried on in the years 2010 and 2011 by G. Sama and P. Rapuzzi in central and eastern Turkey. The most interesting records regard Trichoferus fissitarsis Sama, & Fallahzadeh & Rapuzzi, 2005 and Turanoclytus ilamensis (Holzschuh, 1975) which are new records for the Turkish fauna. Many species constitute the first record for various Turkish provinces. Phytoecia katarinae (Holzschuh, 1974) is transferred to the genus Semiangusta Pic, 1893. KEY WORDS: Cerambycidae, Coleoptera, new records, Turkey. During the years 2010 and 2011 G. Sama and P. Rapuzzi organized scientific expeditions to the Anatolian peninsula in order to verify the distribution of Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, especially in the southern and eastern provinces of this country. H. Özdikmen gave assistance during both trips solving serious problems of various kind. The itinerary of the first trip (13 June–2 July 2010) included the following provinces: Ankara, Yozgat, Sivas, Erzincan, Tunceli, Elazığ, Bingöl, MuĢ, Bitlis, Van, Hakkari, ġırnak, Mardin, Adıyaman, KahramanmaraĢ, Malatya, Tokat and Ordu.
