WHITE SPACE – BLUE FUTURE TROMSØ NORWAY 22-27 JANUARY 2017 GENERAL INFORMATION CONFERENCE ACCESS INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION DESKS An information desk and registration desk will be located in the Fram Centre on Sunday 22 January between 17:00 and 20:00. An information and registra- tion desk will be located in the conference area at UiT The Arctic University of Norway where the staff will be happy to assist with any queries. The desk opens 1 hour prior to the first session in the morning and will stay open until thirty minutes after the last session. A registration and information desk will also be located at Clarion Hotel The Edge on Tuesday 23 January and Wednes- day 24 January for those attending Arctic Frontiers Business. Staff will be available to assist you throughout the conference. There are also computers with printing facilities. Please drop in. MESSAGE BOARD There will be a message board for conference participants located next to the conference information desk. TECHNICAL STAFF Technical staff will be available during all sessions. Please direct all other en- quiries for technical assistance to the conference information desk. Presenters who have not submitted their presentations in advance should report to the conference information desk at arrival. ADMISSION At registration all delegates and exhibitors will receive a conference badge. This badge is required for admission to the conference venues, and dinners so please wear it in a visible place during the conference. POSTER EXHIBITION The poster exhibition will be open all day from Thursday morning. After Arctic Frontiers 2017 we would like to place your poster presentations on the website in pdf format. If you wish to have yours included, please send a pdf file (pre- pared at minimum A3 size) of your poster to [email protected]. LUNCHES Lunch at the University venue is NOT included in the registration fee. You will be able to purchase lunch from the food court with pre-purchased tickets only. Lunch will be a set price of 90 NOK from all vendors. Tickets can be purchased from the online registration system, from the registration desk and from a ticket station in the food court, credit cards will be accepted. LIVE INTERNET BROADCASTS Arctic Frontiers Policy is broadcast live on the internet in English and Russian. Due to these live broadcasts we will start precisely on schedule. CELL PHONES We kindly ask all participants to ensure the sound is turned off on your cell phones during presentations. WIFI ACCESS At the university venue connect to uit-conference with password arctic2017 for access to wireless internet. Open access wifi is available at the Clarion Hotel The Edge. SOCIAL MEDIA You can follow and discuss the cnorwayonference on Twitter (#arcticfrontiers), Facebook (groups/arcticfrontiers) and LinkedIn (groups/Arctic-Frontiers). SECURITY During Monday and Tuesday there will be security checkpoints in place at Arctic Frontiers Policy. You will not be allowed to enter the area without your conference badge and bags maybe checked. Please arrive at the University early to ensure you have enough time to enter before the sessions start. Please wear your badge in a visible place at all times and allow extra time to get to the auditoriums. A cloakroom and luggage storage area will be provided as suitcases will not be allowed into the auditoriums.
