How to travel to Banja Luka?

By car

From the direction of Belgrade: Belgrade is located about 350 km away from Banja Luka. If you are coming to Banja Luka from Belgrade, turn on the E70 highway to the west and Zagreb. On the 300st kilometer in Okucani exit the highway and turn right onto the road route E661 and drive south towards the border crossing of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Gradiska (11km). From Gradiska continue the same road route E661 south to Banja Luka (50km).

From the direction of Zagreb: Zagreb located about 180 km away from Banja Luka. If you are coming to Banja Luka from Zagreb, turn on highway E70 to the east and Belgrade. At 106th kilometers from Zagreb, in Okučani, exit the highway and after the toll booths turn to the left, the road route E661 and drive south towards the border crossing of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Gradiska (11km). From Gradiska continue the same road route (E661) south to Banja Luka (50km).

From the direction of Sarajevo: Sarajevo is located about 250 km away from Banja Luka. If you are coming from Sarajevo take northwest toward Kakanj main road and E-73 to 60 km there decide between two different roads to Banja Luka. The first (longer but better) way road route E73 continues heading north toward Zenica and Maglaj, on 17th kilometer after Doboj, turn left and take the road to Derventa, Prnjavor and Klasnice. In Klasnice (after the bridge), turn left and take the main road M16 (E661) and keep driving 16 km south of Banja Luka. Other, shorter and more interesting way, if you arrive in Sarajevo next turn right in Lašva and turn on the main road route E661 to Vitez, Travnik, Jajce and Banjaluka.
