Sebagai satu-satunya BUMN industri strategis di bidang pertahanan yang sudah mendunia, Pindad melalui hasil karyanya sudah terbukti memberikan andil yang signifikan bagi sistem pertahanan dan keamanan negara, dan mendapatkan apresiasi dunia internasional. Hal tersebut membuat semakin termotivasi untuk terus mengembangkan diri melalui keunggulan operasional, inovasi, dan kerjasama demi kontribusi jangka panjang bagi Indonesia. The Independence of Indonesia’s main weapon system is a purpose aspired greatly by PT Pindad (Persero). As the only international- bound State-Owned Enterprise of defense strategic industries, Pindad through its products has proven its significant share to the national defense and security systems, and moreover globally appreciated. The achievement has motivated the company to continue developing through operational excellence, innovation, and cooperation towards a long-term contribution to Indonesia. LAPORAN TAHUNAN 2i 2016 ANNUAL REPORT www.pindad.com Kesinambungan Tema THEmE CONTINuITy Investasi Strategis Untuk Tumbuh Lebih Baik 2014 Strategic Investment for a Better Growth Tahun 2014 merupakan tahun yang penuh tantangan bagi Perusahaan. Perkembangan kondisi eksternalperusahaan memengaruhi pencapaian kinerja keuangan Perusahaan. Namun demikian, Pindad mampu Investasi Strategis mengatasi seluruh tantangan yang muncul sehingga Perusahaan secara untuk Tumbuh Lebih Baik Strategic Investment for a Better Growth keseluruhan masih dapat dikendalikan. Di tengah tantangan yang mendera seluruh BUMN di Indonesia, pada tahun 2014, Pindad merealisasikan investasi strategis yang berasal dari Penyertaan Modal Negara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan produksi Perusahaan di masa mendatang. Transformasi Korporasi: Batu Pijakan Untuk Pembaruan 2015 Corporate Transformation: A Stepping Stone for A New Era Kebijakan strategis Pindad untuk melakukan transformasi perusahaan mengacu kepada kebijakan strategi tahun 2012-2016 yang merupakan PT Pindad (Persero) www.pindad.com respons terhadap kondisi internal dan eksternal yang dihadapi, dan juga sebagai langkah percepatan untuk kemandirian industri alutsista nasional. Transformasi Korporasi: Pada kurun waktu tersebut, Pindad tetap menjadikan bisnis alutsista Batu Pijakan untuk Pembaruan sebagai core competency dan kemudian menginisiasi bisnis non-alutsista yang terkait secara teknologi dengan teknologi alutsista. (UDMC) is engaged in two strategic business units. Both SBU’s are engaged in the sales and distribution of defense equipment to the military and law enforcement agencies. First, UDMC manufactures NATO standard rifles in calibers 5.56x45mm assault rifles and 7.62x51mm sniper rifles. Its sniper rifles are available in both semi-automatic and bolt action platforms using premium match barrels produced in the Philippines from Bergara barrel blanks in stainless steel SS-410 and SS-416 premium alloys. The barrels of their full- automatic assault rifles are made of 4150 carbon steel. UDMC holds three (3) Philippine patents for the unique design of their Philippine- manufactured assault rifles and precision rifles in gas-piston technology, an improvement over the Stoner-designed direct gas impingement system. UDMC has recently introduced the Bergara bolt action sniper rifles in calibers .338 Lapua and 6.5mm Creedmoor made in Spain by Dikar S. Coop. Bergara. Second, UDMC represents foreign principals in promoting and distributing their defense articles in the Philippines for military and law enforcement use. Such articles are night fighting systems, force protection systems, armored personnel carriers, tanks, naval assets, air assets, and other defense articles. UDMC has a wealth of experience in government tenders and knows very well the procurement law and procurement processes of the Philippine government under R.A. 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

The project is to give opportunity to capacitate emerging public library leaders in undertaking relevant innovations for optimizing the roles and functions of public libraries. Likewise, it will significantly contribute to enhancing leadership skills and competencies of the participants. Further, it will serve as possible venue of exchange in addressing regional public library issues that have potential to stimulate, expand, and improve public library services The INELI-ASEAN project involves ASEAN member states such as Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The project participants were brought together in three convenings held in Malaysia on 21-24 October 2015; Singapore in 6-9 Sept 2016 and Vietnam on 27-30 Nov 2017. The project is to build the skills level of 40 Innovators through online learning modules and workshops during the convenings. There were experienced mentors and learning facilitators who guided the innovators throughout the duration of the programme.     ASEAN Armies in Singapore for the 27th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet 13 Nov 2017 The Singapore Army is hosting the 27th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM), an annual army shooting competition among the 10 ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesian, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) from 6 to 22 Nov 2017. There are a total of 550 participants competing in five disciplines - Carbine, Machine Gun, Pistol Ladies, Pistol Men and Rifle. The 27th AARM's motto "Comrades in AARM" emphasises and promotes solidarity among ASEAN armies, reflecting the aim and purpose of AARM. The shooting competition 1 continues to bolster professional interaction, and strengthen social bonds and camaraderie among the ASEAN armies. Speaking at the opening ceremony today, Chief of Staff - General Staff, Brigadier-General Siew Kum Wong welcomed the shooting participants. He said, "The annual AARM serves as an important avenue for the continued renewal of ties among the armies of member countries… AARM 2017 will provide ample opportunities for shooters to pit their marksmanship skills against one another. More importantly, it provides the platform for professional military ties to be established and deepened and this is exemplified by our motto for AARM 2017, "Comrades in AARM." For the first time, the AARM pistol competition will be held indoors at the Multi-Mission Range Complex (MMRC). The rest of the competition will be held at SAF's outdoor ranges, namely the SAFTI 300m Range, and the Nee Soon 500m Range. The ASEAN Army Chiefs and Sergeant Majors will also come together on 21 Nov 2017 for the 18th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting and the 7th ASEAN Sergeant Majors Annual Meeting.

Hal ini dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa Indonesia berusaha mempertahankan posisi juaranya sebesar 46,43% dari total kejuaraan yang diikuti, namun belum kenyataannya peluang ini belum dapat dimaksimalkan untuk mendongkrak pemasaran produk alutsista Nasional. Pada penelitian ini, permasalahan yang diangkat adalah Bagaimana Strategi pemerintah dalam memanfaatkan AARM untuk melakukan diplomasi pertahanan di kawasan Asia Tenggara, serta Bagaimana Strategi pemerintah dalam memanfaatkan AARM sebagai bentuk promosi industri pertahanan dalam negeri. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menganalisis peran diplomasi pertahanan untuk kepentingan pertahanan nasional dan bagaimana memanfaatkan AARM untuk mempromosikan produk industri pertahanan nasional. The security challenges facing the countries of Southeast Asia today lie in creating a stable environment. The debate over the concept of security has broadened the discourse on regional security cooperation, which drives states to engage more deeply in multilateral diplomacy in order to defend better and promote their national interests, and particularly in handling problems in maintaining a stable peace in the region. As the unit of analysis, this study examined the forum of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) and ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus), and selects six ASEAN member states as the loci of the study, namely: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore; Thailand and Vietnam. The different forms of government system became the reasons for selecting these six countries, i.e. a democratic state such as Indonesia, a semi-authoritarian system such as in Malaysia and Singapore, a monarchy as in Brunei and Thailand, socialist countries such as Vietnam.
