Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is proud to offer positions in the GradStart program for Registered Nurses across all NSLHD facilities and services including Royal North Shore , Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, Ryde Hospital, Mona Vale Hospital, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services and Primary and Community Health. We offer positions in the GradStart program for Registered Midwives at Royal North Shore Hospital and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

Ryde Hospital Services include: Emergency, Critical Care Unit and Cardiac Rehabilitation, Operating Theatres, Day Surgery, General Medicine, , Orthopaedics, Maternity and a Rehabilitation Centre.

Our community-based services include Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, HIV/Sexual Health Promotion, Child and Family Health, Dental Services, Health Promotion Unit and Aged-care Rehabilitation.

Mona Vale Hospital Mona Vale Hospital provides health care services to the area through a Urgent Care Centre and Rehabilitation services for stroke rehabilitation, reconstructive joint surgery and reconditioning.

The GradStart program at Mona Vale Hospital is available for a sub-acute rehabilitation stream with the potential opportunity for a rotation within other NSLHD facilities and services to enhance the new graduate nurse experience.

Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services

NSLHD’s Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services offers acute, sub-acute and community services throughout six and a variety of community health centres extending from Sydney Harbour to the . Our service aims to promote collaborative person-centred care within an integrated service.

GradStart positions within MHDA are available at Royal North Shore Hospital, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and Macquarie Hospital.

Primary and Community Health The Home Nursing Service (NSHNS) provides primary health/community based nursing care to people both within their homes and in clinic environments throughout NSLHD.

Northern Sydney Home Nursing Services include: Complex Wound Management; Acute Oncology; Palliative and End of Life care; Aged/Dementia Care, Medication Education and Management; Chronic and Complex Disease Management including Health Coaching/health education; Continence Assessment and Management; Comprehensive Assessment and Care coordination.
