November 2008 Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, liebe Freunde unserer Hochschule, nach zweijähriger Generalsanierung nimmt unser H.H. Diözesanbischof, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Ludwig Müller, am 22. November 2008, dem Gedenktag der hl. Cäcilia, der Patronin der Kirchenmusik, nach dem Festgottesdienst die Segnung der Hochschulgebäude vor. Für die älteste kirchenmusikalische Ausbildungsstätte der Welt (gegründet 1874) und die jüngste Musikhochschule Deutschlands (seit 2001) ist dies ein historischer Tag: Mit der Sanierung der geschichtsträchtigen Räumlichkeiten und der Optimierung der Ausstattung, mit der gleichzeitigen Stärkung des kirchenmusikalischen und musikpädagogischen Profils in der Umsetzung der europäischen Studienreform (Bachelor/Master) sieht sich die Hochschule für die Zukunft bestens gerüstet. Am Cäcilientag 2008 feiern wir nun den erfolgreichen Abschluss der zukunftsweisenden Generalsanierung der Hochschule.

    Doc. 12358 20 September 2010 Child abuse in institutions: ensure full protection of the victims Report 1 Social, Health and Family Affairs Committee Rapporteur: Ms Marlene RUPPRECHT, Germany, Socialist Group Summary Several member states have recently been confronted with cases of sexual, physical and emotional child abuse which were reported concerning various institutions, including residential facilities, public and private schools and other institutional settings, such as youth associations. Based on an analysis of what are the main facilitating factors for such abuse and responses to be given, the Parliamentary Assembly should urge member states to take more committed action to protect children from such mistreatment in the future. It also emphasises the importance of according full justice to victims of past offences and of supporting children affected by recent abuse. The protection of children and adolescents can only be ensured in an efficient manner if action is taken at legislative, administrative and political level. Through the Committee of Ministers as an intermediary, those member states which have not yet done so should be invited to ratify the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse and to support the Pan-European campaign to stop sexual violence against children to be launched in Rome on 29-30 November 2010.     W E I G O L D & B Ö H Regensburger Domspatzen M Leitung: DKM Christian Heiß International Artists & Tours The world-famous Regensburger Domspatzen are probably the oldest boys' choir of all. More than 1000 years ago, in 975, Bishop Wolfgang founded his own cathedral school, which placed special emphasis on musical education in addition to general education. Liturgical singing was entrusted to the students in the bishop's church. Cathedral Kapellmeister Dr. Theobald Schrems (1893-1963), in succession to Cathedral Kapellmeister Franz Xaver Engelhart, made the Regensburger Domspatzen world-famous since the 1930s. His successor Georg Ratzinger (* 1924) continued to tour with the choir throughout Germany and all over the world. During this time, the Domspatzen's major foreign tours took them to the USA, France, England, Italy and Japan, among other places. In 1991 and 1994 the choir was guest in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea. This was followed by foreign tours to Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland. From 1994 to July 2019 Roland Büchner (* 1954) was the leader of the Regensburger Domspatzen. During this time, the choir performed three times in Japan (1998, 2000 and 2004), toured the Philippines, South Africa (2008), Taiwan (2011), China (2012), the USA (2014) and Oman (2016). In 2018, under the patronage of the Bishop of Regensburg, Dr. Rudolf Voderholzer, the choir traveled to the Holy Land for the first time in its history. With Christian Heiß as Domkapellmeister a new era begins for the Domspatzen in September 2019. Heiß is himself a former Domspatz and after graduating from high school he studied the main subjects of church music and organ with Professor Franz Lehrndorfer at the Munich Academy of Music.

    Unter den Domkapellmeistern Theobald Schrems und Georg Ratzinger wurden die Regensburger Domspatzen vornehmlich als weithin strahlendes kirchlich-bayerisches Kulturgut wahrgenommen und vermarktet. Lange Zeit weniger bekannt war der dahinterstehende institutionelle Schul- und Internatsapparat mit komplizierten Trägerstrukturen, internen Verwerfungen und erheblichen Problemen in der täglichen Erziehungspraxis. Dieses Buch fokussiert den Erziehungsalltag der Domspatzen, der durch ein eigentümliches Nebeneinander von Normalität, Förderung und Erfolg einerseits, zuerst Überforderung, Willkür und Missbrauch andererseits geprägt war und einen Resonanzboden für teilweise massive körperliche und sexualisierte Gewalt von Erziehenden an Schülern bot. Ratyzbo­ na stała się miejscem, do którego przybywało i nadal przybywa wielu młodych ludzi, aby kształcić się w kierunku badania i uprawiania muzyki religijnej. To właśnie absolwenci tej szkoły są jej największą „reklamą", dzięki której szkoła i miasto są znane nie tylko w Europie. Można zapytać - dlaczego właśnie Ratyzbona stała się miejscem kształcenia w dziedzinie muzyki kościelnej? Otóż to urokliwie miasto położone nad Dunajem w kraju związkowym Bawarii, będące stolicą regionu Oberpfalz, sięga swoją historią I w. po Chrystusie, a więc cza­ sów rzymskich. Do dziś zachowały się elementy architektury danych rzymskich budowli, przede wszystkim o charakterze militarnym. Z biegiem wieków miasto stało się ważnym ośrodkiem handlowym, a także kulturowym i religijnym z racji powołanego do istnienia w VIII w. biskupstwa ze stolicą właśnie w Ratyzbonie1. Biskupami Ratyzbony byli m.in. św. Wolfgang (972 - 994) i św. Albert Wielki (1260 - 1262)2. Od średniowiecza Ratyzbona stała się ważnym miejscem uprawiania muzyki kościelnej, przez co stała się wyjątkowym w pod tym względem miejscem w całych Niemczech. Początek tej tradycji tkwi w VII w., kiedy to założono w Ratyzbonie klasztor benedyktyński St. Emmeram3. Stał się on miejscem uprawia­ nia przede wszystkim chorału gregoriańskiego4. Innym ważnym miejscem kultywowania muzyki kościelnej w Ratyzbonie stał się kościół nazywany popularnie „Alten Kapelle", przy którym od VIII w.
