CHANGE IS IN THE AIR

As Autumn approaches in South Louisiana, the winds of change are blowing through the Live Performance and Music Industry Development division in Louisiana Entertainment.

Louisiana Economic Development and Louisiana Entertainment bids farewell to Mr. Philip Mann who is departing the State of Louisiana to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Alabama Center for the Arts, in Decatur, Alabama. For the past 10 years, Philip has served with distinction and led the state’s efforts to build a robust live performance and music industry. Philp’s hard work was instramental in attracting several internationally known acts to Louisiana such as Cirque du Soleil and George Straight. Escape to Margaritaville launched at the Saenger Theatre & several Louisiana not-for-profit organizations have been able to continue providing quality entertainment and great jobs for the residents of this state. We wish Philip all the best for his future success.

At the same time, we welcome Mrs. Lacey Chataignier as she has been promoted to oversee the Live Performance and Music Industry Developent division. Lacey has been with Louisiana Entertainment for the past six years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role. The seamless transition will also ensure that Louisiana will not miss a beat. Please join us in congratulating Lacey.
