Junior center Diamond Brooks continues to grow in the post for ULM. Brooks has been especially strong down the stretch for the Warhawks. Over her last eight contests, Brooks is averaging 9.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Brooks has four double-figure scoring games and three double-figure re- bounding games in that stretch, including her first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds against the Ragin' Cajuns in Lafayette on Jan. 25. Brooks has also played more than 37 minutes in two of the last three games, including her first career 40-minute effort vs. Georgia State on Feb. 15. 2. After battling illness in the middle portion of conference play, senior guard Amber Thompson has bounced back over the last five games. Thompson is averaging 14.2 points per game over the last five contests, including a 20-point effort at Troy on Feb. 5. Thompson tallied 16 points with three rbounds and four assists while playing over 37 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Ragin' Cajuns. 3. ULM continued to display its ability to battle back and challenge its opponents in Saturday's loss to the Ragin' Cajuns. The Cajuns scored the first 10 points of the game while holding ULM without a shot in the first three minutes. However, after a timeout, the Warhawks slowly chipped away at the deficit, eventually tying the game at 16 at the end of the quarter, and taking a lead in the second quarter. After trailing by 13 in the second half, ULM closed within five points several times, the last of which coming with 6:16 to play, before ULM failed to score for over five minutes and the Cajuns pulled away for the 62-49 win.
