Glen Davis led LSU with 20 points, while Darrel Mitchell had 17 points, five assists and five steals. Tasmin Mitchell made 6-of-his last eight shots to finish with 13 points and seven assists, while Tyrus Thomas came off the bench to add 13 of his own ... LSU had just nine turnovers and shot 52.6 percent (30-of-57) for the game, while holding EA Sports to 37 percent (17-of-46).

Game No. 3 -- LSU 71, West Virginia 68 (OT) (Nov. 26, Morgantown, W. Va.) The Tigers took their act on the road for the first time and came back winners against the 13th-ranked Mountaineers on a day when the school drew its biggest ever November crowd in the WVU Coliseum ... LSU held off a barrage of three-pointers by West Virginia (15-of-45) and rallied after losing a 15-point first-half lead ... Senior Darrel Mitchell hit a three-pointer with 23 seconds left in regulation to force the overtime and then hit a three-pointer with six seconds left in overtime to get the win ... Mitchell had the second best scoring game of his career with 26 points, playing 45 minutes ... Glen Davis had his fifth straight double-double dating back to last year with 23 points and 14 rebounds ... LSU shot 47.5 percent for the game, holding West Virginia to just 34.8 percent and the Tigers out rebounded West Virginia, 51-29.

Game No. 4 -- Houston 84, LSU 83 (Nov. 29, Baton Rouge) Turnovers, free throws and an amazing second half shooting performance by Houston all played into the Cougars rallying win over the Tigers, stopping LSU's 13-game home winning streak that dated back almost one full year ... LSU held a 43-31 lead, but the Cougars hit 19-of-29 field goals, including 8-of-10 three-pointers in the second half to score 53 points ... The effort was aided by Houston scoring 27 points off 22 LSU turnovers and the Tigers going just 6-of-15 at the free throw line in the final 20 minutes ... Darrel Mitchell had 25 points and seven assists to lead LSU, while freshman Tyrus Thomas added 21 points and 12 rebounds ... Tasmin Mitchell had 18 points and Glen Davis 15 ... For the game LSU shot 58.2 percent (32-55) from the field and for the fourth straight game had a big rebound margin, 42-20, with LSU getting as many offensive boards as Houston did total rebounds.
