DoST, Down Syndrome Trust celebrated 20th Anniversary today. Started by the initiative of Dr.Shaji Thomas John, the founder Chairman, the trust has been rendering yeoman service to these special children and their parents.
They have conducted parents interactive sessions on all 2nd Sunday afternoons all these years (120).
Now the meetings are on online platform. One of our Action Plans for 2020 is 22 support 21 aiming to start DS support groups in all 22 branches. Some branches have already done it. I request the remaining branches to take up the initiative.
Dr Remesh Kumar, President elect 2021, offered all support from CIAP. An added attraction of the gathering was the interaction with Mr .GopikrishnaVarma, a teen with DS, who is the hero in the movie, Thirike ready for release.
