Proof of English Proficiency English proficiency is not required to attend Clackamas Community College (CCC). However, a student may be exempted from placement in to the Program for Intensive English (the PIE) if the student is able to show English proficiency in one of the ways listed below. Important: Participation in a college level program of study is not guaranteed by meeting the minimum requirements listed below. To be admitted into college courses, a student must also be placed in WRD-098 or a higher level writing class by a Placement Advisor.
