Tilting Axis 3 NATIONAL GALLERY OF THE MAY 18-20, 2017

The room categories group rates are as follows: • Studio Suite room (one queen bed): US$120.00 + • Deluxe Suite (two double beds): US$145.00 + • One Bedroom Suite (one king w. parlor): US$155.00 +

(Rates are per room/per night and are exclusive of an additional 10% service fee. The daily resort fee and hotel tax has been waived in full for conference attendees. Extra adult charge for more than two adults per room will be US$20 per day).

Tilting Axis 3: Curating the Caribbean (May 18-20, 2017)

On-island Transportation

Airport transfer to and from Sunshine Suites is approximately US$30 per taxi and takes 15 minutes. There is no public transport available from the airport. Rental cars are also available from the airport site.

A conference shuttle will provide free service to and from both resorts to the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands (2.5kms), morning and late afternoon, and to and from all evening events.

Airline Travel

The most convenient route into the Cayman Islands is via . and offer direct flights to Grand Cayman several times a day. For those wishing to avoid US immigration delays there are many other direct flights that are regularly available: Toronto ( and WestJet); New York (Cayman Airways and Jet Blue); , (Cayman Airways); and Kingston, (Cayman Airways); La Ceiba, (Cayman Airways); and Nassau, Bahamas ().

In addition, weekly or twice-weekly services operate from several other US cities: (Delta Airlines); (); Washington DC (Cayman Airways); and Charlotte and (US Airways). For delegates flying from Europe there are direct flights from four times weekly via Nassau, Bahamas.

Tilting Axis 3: Curating the Caribbean (May 18-20, 2017)

Entry Information and Visa Waivers Application

The National Gallery will be notifying the Cayman Islands Immigration Department with a list of all Tilting Axis delegates, so that you can enter the country smoothly under Section 11(2)(e) of the Immigration Regulations (2015 Revision). As such, we ask each participant to complete the attached TA Participant Form and return this to [email protected] by April 15th, 2017.

Some nationalities, including several Caribbean countries, will need Visa Waivers to enter the Cayman Islands. Again, NGCI will be submitting a group application on your behalf and assuming all related costs. To ensure that you are included in this application please complete the Visa Waiver application and submit this, along with a scanned copy of your passport, to [email protected] by April 1st, 2017, with the subject heading “TA3 Visa”. Please note, while we will be submitting this in advance electronically, you will be required to travel with the original signed copy of this form and to present it upon arrival.
