Sir, I am directed by the order of the Governor to say that the Governor has been pleased to accord sanction to the creation of the post of S.D.P.O. Ghatal in Paschim Medinipur district by surrendering the existing post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime), Paschim Medinipur with effect from the date of filling up of the post and until further orders.
2) The charge is debitable to the appropriate head of account of the State Budget. 3) This is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their U.O. No. Group P2/2017- 2018/0051 dated 18.04.2017. 4) Treasury Officer, Darjeeling and all others concerned are being informed accordingly.

Sub.: Performance of West Bengal Police Band Team in the 18 th All India Police Band Competition - 2017 in Punjab.

With reference to above, it is informed that the Director General & Inspector General of Police, West Bengal has been pleased to accord sanction of a cash reward of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand) only as a reward to SGT. Major Chandra Das, Band Master of West Bengal Police Brass Band Team for the achievement in the recently concluded 18 th All India Police Band Competition – 2017 held in Punjab in terms of the G.O. No.707-F(Y) dated 09.02.2016 of Finance department, Audit Branch, Government of west Bengal. The charge will be met under the head of account “2055-00-003-NP-005-SVSPA-05-Reward”.
To achieve better performance in the “All India Police Band Competition” for next year personnel of the team taking part in said competition may be selected and along with hard practice, extensive training may be imparted to them. Simultaneously, budget estimate thereof may please be prepared and sent to this Directorate at the earliest.
