Dua (Supplication)

‘Dua’ (Supplication) means to ask Allah directly for something.

What does Iblis do? ◦ Iblish do all the tricks to make people do bad things We can save us from Iblis by:

Revelations were sent to Prophets in different ways:

· Revelation by inspiration- like a dream, for example: Allah guided Prophet Ibrahim (A) to make a sacrifice of his son.

· Revelation by speech (behind the scenes), for example: Allah spoke to Prophet Musa (A) in the mountain of Torah.

· Revelation through Angel, for example: Allah revealed the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (S) through angel Jibril. The first revelation of the Quran was 5 verses from Surah al-Alaq. Which are as follows:

“Read in the name of your Lord, Who created man from a clot of blood. Read and your Lord is most Bountiful, Who taught (the use of) the pen, He taught man which he knew not.”

There was no revelation for a certain period after the first. The second revelation is the first beginning verses of Surah Al-Muddather, which begins as follows-

“ O you, Who is covered in your cloak, arise and warn.”

Some of the earliest Surahs are Al-Muzzammil, Al-Fatiha, Al-Takweer, Al-A’laa, Al-Lael, Al-Fajr

The revelation continued till the death of the Prophet (S). It was approximately for 23 years.
