Time Tables For time tables on public transportation please go to ”Rejseplanen” at ”www.rejseplanen.dk” (you can change the language to english!) Here you can plug in start point and destination and it will give you a list of routes.
Tickets Tickets to public transportation can be bought at ticket machines at any train and metro station. We suggest that you buy a single fare ticket when travelling from the airport to your hotel and vice versa. We suggest that those of you who stay at Hotel Mercur or Hotel Scandic Webers buy a 24-hour-ticket Thursday and Friday morning to cover your transportation to and from DTU. For visitors staying at Hotel Fortunen and Hotel Scandic Eremitage: You will need cash in order to buy tickets when heading to DTU. It’s 24 kroner each way (2-zone ticket each way), so we suggest that you withdraw 100 danish kroner. This can be done at the airport! Tickets are validated and ready for use the very second you purchase them! You don’t have to validate/stamp them. When buying a 3-zone or 5-zone ticket, it covers all busses, S-trains and trains within the zones. You don’t have to buy another ticket when switching busses, trains and S-trains. If I have written ”buy a 3-zone ticket” it covers the whole journey! Taxis Taxis are ridiculously expensive in Denmark, and it should be easy to get around with public trans- portation if you follow this guide.

3 3 Arriving at Copenhagen Airport
When arriving at Copenhagen Airport you want to make your way to the metro station.

• From the gate, follow the signs to the baggage claim area
• Pick up your bags (if any), and follow the signs on the walls and on the floor to the exit. • When exiting, you want to go straight forward for approx. 100 meters until you see stairs going up - you should pass a Burger King on your right hand side. • Before going up the stairs, buy a ticket. Tickets machines are found on your right hand side when facing the stairs. You should see ”Tickets”-signs. If you’re going to hotel ”Scandic Webers” or ”Copenhagen Mercur Hotel” buy a 3-zone ticket. If you’re going to hotel ”Fortunen” or hotel ”Scandic Eremitage” buy a 5-zone ticket.
• After purchasing a ticket go to the section of this guide that corresponds to the hotel you’re staying at. In general, the Metro is up the stairs, and the trains are down the stairs.
4 4 Scandic Webers
Follow this guide to get to and from hotel Scandic Webers.
4.1 From Copenhagen Airport to hotel Scandic Webers
• After purchasing a 3-zone ticket make your way to train track 2 (towards Copenhagen C). • Board a train heading towards Helsingør, Niv˚aSt. or Copenhagen Central Station (København H).
• Get off the train at Copenhagen Central Station (København H). • When entering the train station go to the left. Go to the right when exiting the station. When you get to a very big road turn left. Please see figure below. • Hotel Scandic Webers is on your left hand side.

4.2 From hotel Scandic Webers to DTU
Feel free to join Bjørn and Magnus as they travel from hotel Webers to DTU Thursday morning at 8am.
• Make your way back to the central station. • Buy a 24h ticket (it costs 130kr). • Find track 9 and 10.
5 • Board a ”B” S-train heading towards Holte St. or an ”E” S-train heading towards Hillerød St. • Get off the train at Lyngby St. • Get on bus 300S (towards Gl. Holte) or bus 190 (towards Holte St.). The stops are just to the left and to the right of the exit of Lyngby St., respectively. • Get off the bus when ”DTU” is announced. • When exitting the bus turn right, and after a few hundred meters the main building of DTU is on your left. See figure below.

4.3 From DTU to hotel Scandic Webers
If you bought a 24h-ticket when going to DTU, it covers your way back!
• Go to the bus stop just across from where you arrived. • Get on bus 190 (towards Lyngby St. via Paradiskvarteret) or 300S (towards Ishøj St.). • Get off the bus at Lyngby St. • Board a ”B” S-train heading towards Høje Taastrup St. or an ”E” S-train heading towards Køge St.
6 • Get off the train at København H (Copenhagen Central Station).
• Walk to your hotel (see figure 4.)
4.4 From hotel Scandic Webers to Copenhagen Airport
• Make your way to Copenhagen Central Station (København H) (see figure 4). • Buy a 3-zone ticket. • Trains towards Copenhagen Airport (CPH Airport/CPH Lufthavn) usually leave from track 4, 5 or 6. You can check ”Rejseplanen” beforehand to find out which one to board. • Board a train and get off at the airport. • Have a nice journey home!
7 5 Best Western Mercur Hotel
Follow this guide to get to and from Best Western Mercur Hotel.
5.1 From Copenhagen Airport to hotel Mercur
• After purchasing a 3-zone ticket make your way to train track 2 (towards Copenhagen C). • Board a train heading towards Helsingør, Niv˚aSt. or Copenhagen Central Station (København H). • Get off the train at Copenhagen Central Station (København H). • Go up the stairs and turn left until you get to track 9-10. • Board one of the following S-trains: C (towards Klampenborg St.), H (towards Østerport St.), A (towards Farum St.), E (towards Hillerød St.) or B (towards Holte St.) • Get off the train at Vesterport St. (ONLY 1 STOP!) • Exit the train station and turn right, then immediately turn right. • Walk approx. 100 meters and Hotel Mercur is on your left hand side. See figure below.

5.2 From hotel Mercur to DTU

8 • Make your way back to Vesterport St.
• Buy a 24h ticket (it costs 130kr). • Board a ”B” S-train heading towards Holte St. or an ”E” S-train heading towards Hillerød St. • Get off the train at Lyngby St.
• Get on bus 300S or bus 190. The stops are just to the left and to the right of the exit of Lyngby St., respectively. • Get off the bus when ”DTU” is announced. • When exitting the bus turn right, and after a few hundred meters the main building of DTU is on your left. See figure below.

5.3 From DTU to hotel Mercur
If you bought a 24h-ticket when going to DTU, it covers your way back!
• Go to the bus stop just across from where you arrived. • Get on bus 190 (towards Lyngby St. via Paradiskvarteret) or 300S (towards Ishøj St.).
9 • Get off the bus at Lyngby St.
• Board a ”B” S-train heading towards Høje Taastrup St. or an ”E” S-train heading towards Køge St. • Get off the train at Vesterport St. • Walk to your hotel (see figure 6.)
5.4 From hotel Mercur to Copenhagen Airport
• Walk to Vesterport St. • Buy a 3-zone ticket. • Board one of the following S-trains: E (towards Køge St.), B (towards Høje Taastrup St.), A (towards Hundige St.), C (towards Ballerup St.), H (towards Frederikssund St.).
• Get off the train at Copenhagen Central Station (København H) - It’s only 1 stop!! • Trains towards Copenhagen Airport (CPH Airport/CPH Lufthavn) usually leave from track 4, 5 or 6. You can check ”Rejseplanen” beforehand to find out which one to board. • Board a train and get off at the airport.
• Have a nice journey home!
10 6 Fortunen
Follow this guide to get to and from hotel Fortunen. Please notice that when getting from Fortunen to DTU and back, you will need cash in order to pay for tickets. Ask the bus driver which ticket to get to go to DTU.
6.1 From Copenhagen Airport to hotel Fortunen
Please notice that this departure is only available once every hour (and last ride is 22:24). Depending on when you arrive to Copenhagen there may be faster alternatives.
• After purchasing a 5-zone ticket make your way to train track 2 (towards Copenhagen C.) • Board a train heading towards Hillerød St. • After 6 stops get off the train at ”Klampenborg St.”. • Wait outside the station for bus 388 to arrive. This may take a while (30 minutes).
• After 6 stops on bus 388, get off at ”Ermelundsvej”. • Turn right as you get off the bus (50 meters) and turn left. • Walk for a few hundred meters and Hotel Fortunen is on your right hand side. See figure below.

6.2 From hotel Fortunen to DTU
There are a lot of different ways to do this, but we suggest the following route. Please check ”Rejseplanen”.
11 • Walk to the bus stop where you arrived. You should see a bus stop for bus 182 (you may have to walk a bit further down the road).
• Get on bus 182 heading towards ”Lyngby St. via Brede - Hjortekær”. • Get off the bus at Sorgenfrig˚ardsvej. • Get on bus 181 heading towards ”Lyngby St. DTU - Handelsskolen Kbh. Nord”.
• Get off the bus at DTU (Anker Engelunds Vej). • When exitting the bus turn left, and after a few hundred meters the main building of DTU is on your left. See figure below.

6.3 From DTU to hotel Fortunen
As before, this is a suggested route. Please check ”Rejseplanen”.
• Walk to the bus stop where you arrived. Go to the other side of the road.
• Get on bus 300S towards Ishøj St. • Get off at ”Lyngby Storcenter”. • Get on either bus 388 (towards Helsingør St.) or 183 (towards Lyngby St. via Hjortekær - Brede). Both should stop just where you got off.
• If on 388: Get off at Ermelundsvej, see figure 10 below. • If on 183: Get off at Ved Fortunen (Hjortekærsvej), and see figure 11 below.

6.4 From hotel Fortunen to Copenhagen Airport
As before, this is a suggested route. Please check ”Rejseplanen”.
• Go to the bus stop for bus 388 (see figure 10). • Get on the bus, and get off the bus at Klampenborg St. • Get on a train heading towards ”CPH Lufthavn”. • Get off the train at the Copenhagen Airport.
• Have a nice journey home!
13 7 Scandic Eremitage (Lyngby)
Follow this guide to get to and from hotel Scandic Eremitage (Lyngby). Please notice that you need cash in order to buy tickets when travelling with bus (Hotel to DTU and DTU to Hotel).
7.1 From Copenhagen Airport to hotel Scandic Eremitage
• After purchasing a 5-zone ticket make your way up the stairs towards the metro tracks. • Board a M2-metro train towards Vanløse Station. • After 8 stops, get off the train at ”Nørreport Station”. • Follow the signs with an ”S” on it - this stands for S-train. • Board a ”B” S-train heading towards ”Hillerød Station”. • After 7 stops, get off the train at ”Lyngby Station”. • Cross the road when exiting Lyngby Station and keep walking straight ahead through the small alley. • Turn left when you get to a road again. • Turn right when you get to the traffic light. • Hotel Scandic Eremitage will be on your left hand side after a few hundred meters. 14 7.2 From hotel Scandic Eremitage to DTU
• Across the road outside the hotel you should find a bus stop where bus 300S (towards Gl. Holte Øverødvej), bus 190 (towards Holte St.) or bus 30E (towards DTU) leaves from. • Get on either of the busses. Buy a 2-zone ticket (24 kroner). • Get off the bus at DTU (Anker Engelundsvej).
• Turn left when getting off the bus. • Walk a hundred meters and the main building of DTU is on your left. See figure below.

7.3 From DTU to hotel Scandic Eremitage
• Go to the bus stop just across from where you arrived at DTU.
• Get on a bus 300S (towards Ishøj St.) or 30E (towards Ishøj St.). • Buy a 2-zone ticket (24 kroner). • Get off the bus at Lyngby Storcenter (Klampenborgvej).
• Walk to your hotel.

• Go to Lyngby St. See figure 12. • Buy a 5-zone ticket. • Get on a ”B” S-train (towards Høje Taastrup St.) or an ”E” S-train (towards Køge St.).
• Get off the train at Copenhagen Central Station (København H). • Make your way to track 4, 5 or 6. This is usually where trains towards the airport departs. Please check ”Rejseplanen” in advance. • Get on a train towards ”CPH Airport/CPH Lufthavn”.
• Get off the train at the airport. • Have a nice journey home.
