STI N Project STI, in order to assure the growth of its business in the FIA market, which became the main category for the firm in world , started its Group N Project in 2003. General Manager George Donaldson (U.K.), as the representative for STI, took charge of such activities as data-gathering, business operations and motor sport in Europe. Mainly focused on the FIA Production car (P-WRC), regional FIA rally championships and the domestic rally championships of each country, the role supports the activities of entrants participating with the IMPREZA. From 2004, STI ‘Base Teams’ were set up, with the primary objective TMR URT of developing the motor sport side, This concept tackled enlarging the Group N business, including sales promotion activities, which were strengthened through British firm Prodrive and Tommi Makinen Racing of Finland. The organisation has continued to grow, becoming PD BPR a worldwide effort with the recent addition of Argentinean outfit Barattero, Uspenskiy Rally Tecnica from Russia, Stohl Racing of Austria, and Motor Image from Singapore. From 2005, when the old 2008 FIA Group N Rally Car model IMPREZA WRX STI spec C was introduced, and in conjunction with the base teams, more than 500 units of the car (2005, 2006, 2007 STOHL MIE models) were sold.

In conjunction with STI, the base teams have built up the infrastructure IMPREZA Rally Base Car Sales Result of the Group N business. Besides assisting in the development of 2007 200 competition parts, they have taken charge of customer management and act as the sales window of rally cars in specific areas.
