DeWinter helped Chaparral to its first league championship, recording back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011. DeWinter capped her prep career with U.S. Lacrosse first-team All-American and Academic All-American honors. She was named first-team All-League three consecutive years and received academic All-State honors in back-to-back lacrosse seasons. In her final season, she was also named first-team All-State. Her freshman season, she was named her team’s Rookie of the Year. After her sophomore season, she joined the Team 180 club program. She also became a member of Team Colorado in the Women’s Division National Tournament and participated in the Gore Range Classic, the Northern Rise and the President’s Cup. As a senior, she scored 38 goals and contributed 23 assists, ranking 10th in Colorado, and was named first-team All-State. A 2012 ESPN player to watch on the West Coast, she scored 28 goals and contributed 17 assists and 35 ground balls as a junior. That season, she was named first-team All-Centennial. Her sophomore year, she tripled her total goals from her freshman season (eight goals, seven assists) by scoring 24 goals and adding eight assists, helping her to an All-State honorable mention selection.
