Air connecvity has a catalyc impact on regional development, investments, tourism and job creaon which can influence State economies significantly. Government launched an ambious Regional Connecvity Scheme-UDAN (acronym for 'ude desh ka aam nagrik') for providing connecvity to un-served and under-served airports of the country. This first-of- its-kind scheme globally will create affordable yet economically viable and profitable flights on regional routes so that flying becomes affordable to the common man even in small towns. In virtue of this, FICCI-KPMG has prepared a 'Report on Regional Connecvity Scheme (RCS) for Civil Aviaon Roadmap for sustainable operaons'. The objecve of this report is to study the RCS guidelines, idenfy potenal RCS airports and desnaons thereof; develop financial models for four aircra types and propose improvements in the policy, regulatory and procedural aspects of the scheme. This FICCI-KPMG report has idenfied 44 high potenal RCS airports from among 414 airfields available in India. This is based on various techno-commercial parameters with valuable support from MoCA and AAI. The report has presented over 370 possible desnaons from the high-potenal RCS airports, the projected financial statements for four aircra types and suggesons for further improvement of the scheme. The objective of the FICCI-KPMG report is to study the RCS guidelines, identify potential RCS airports and destinations thereof; develop nancial models for four aircraft types and propose improvements in the policy, regulatory and procedural aspects of the scheme. India's Regional Connectivity Scheme ('RCS', 'the scheme') was introduced as part of the National Civil Aviation Policy ('NCAP 2016') in June 2016 and was formally launched in October 2016. The scheme provides a unique opportunity to take ying to the masses by way of scal incentives, infrastructure support, procedural simplications and monetary subsidies. The highlights of RCS are as follows: a) Target airports include over 400 unserved and under-served airelds/ aerodromes. b) The scheme is market-driven.

As a result, the PW-powered A320 Neos with Indian carriers — IndiGo and GoAir — do not have “extended diversion time operations” (EDTO) clearance. “This clearance is required for aircraft with two or more engines to operate routes where the nearest suitable airport to make an emergency landing or divert to is more than an 60 minutes away at any point during the journey. The PW powered Neos in India have to fly on routes where an alternate landing airport is within 60 minutes away,” said a regulatory official. According to PW, its A320 Neo engine “has been granted 180 minute ETOPS eligibility by the European Aviation Safety Agency.” Now, IndiGo has sought EDTO clearance for the Neos as it prepares to make make use of the extended range of these planes to fly them to farther places.     CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL SECURITY FORCE CITIZEN'S CHARTER INTRODUCTION:- We are one of the specialized Central Para-military Forces of India under Ministry of Home Affairs. We came into existence in the year 1969 with a meagre strength of about 3000 men for providing security to Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Government Installations. Today we have grown up to a strength of about 1, 05,000 officers and men and taken up a multi faceted role in the field of internal security which includes Airport Security, Security of Government Building, Monument Security, Disaster Management, VIP Security and security of critical installations like Delhi Metro in addition to our traditional role of providing industrial security. Currently we are providing security to 277 units including 56 domestic and international airports spread all over the country. We also have a Fire Wing which looks after the fire protection and fire prevention services of 77 units with a strength of about 5000 well trained man power. Hitherto our services were only available to Government Organisations and PSUs but by amendment in CISF Act the Government of India has permitted us to offer Consultancy Services in the field of Security and Fire Protection to public as well as private sector. Accordingly we have a Consultancy Wing located at our Force Head Quarters, which is ISO 9001: 2000 certified and offers its Consultancy Services to both the Government and the Non Government Organizations. Our Head Quarter is located at 13, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi and is headed by Director General.
