XDD Summer Love 2011 )) This album honestly began because of a “mistake” that I made while looking for a song on the hard drive of Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine. (My Hewlett-Packard m7170n Media Center Desktop PC ^_^) Between 2002 when I first began Darton College and 2005 when I departed Darton College and began creating the original music album “It’s Go Time Baby, Your Place Is The Dance Floor!” (prior to “DJ Edition”) I had begun accumulating and ordering music on the family computer. (prior to departing my birth home.) There was a folder that I had named “Dealing With Music” which is where I placed all new music that I put onto the family computer. (Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine is not the home family computer. Keep reading. ^_^) Even music that existed initially only on physical CDs that I had purchased (this was before YouTube or Google if you can imagine it…) – when the music was ripped from CDs and placed onto the computer hard drive – the songs went into this folder inside of their own sub-folder which usually contained the name of the album. thanks to the invention of USB external Hard drives, any computer that I have ever had the pleasure of owning or utilizing has had the ability to have this folder. Rushuna-Haruhi: The Success Machine (my very first computer ever purchased in my name) – was the first of my computers to take on and “inherent” this file folder full of music. -

Zur deutschen Übersetzung des Interviews Anders, the upcoming Katatonia album „The Fall of Hearts“ will mark the first ‘fully distorted’ release since 2012’s highly acclaimed „Dead End Kings“ (excluding the live release „Last Fair Day Gone Night“, 2014). Having worked on the ‘metal-less’ 2013 re-imagining of Dead End Kings entitled Dethroned„ & Uncrowned“ (2013) and extensive subsequent acoustic tours culminating in the Live DVD release of „Sanctitude“ last year, how much has this rather long absence from fully plugged heaviness influenced the songwriting for The Fall of Hearts? I think, by doing the many „Dethroned & Uncrowned“ and „Sanctitude“ acoustic gigs and album we opened up a new door for our audience to choose, to get familiar with, to accept a new sound of Katatonia. We never tried to claim or anything that this was the indication of our new style. It was just a little side experiment to show that we have more sides than just one in Katatonia. We also could show a softer more lushy acoustic side that would still sound like Katatonia. -

The MFS Trip into the History of Trance! Bittles‘ Magazine | Album Review Before the term Trance became something to be pitied, hated and despised as well as the dominant force in dance music it was seen as a creative revelation that brought the emotion back to House. The adrenaline- fuelled head-rush of rave was coming to an end, hardcore had become just too hard and the club kids were craving something new with which to get their chemical kicks. By JOHN BITTLES Trance came at just the right time to reinvigorate a dance music scene that had somehow managed to crawl up its own K-hole. This new style of music added a much needed melodic flavour to its processed beats. When combined with an almost religious spirituality that was perfect for ecstasy consumption and the hugging of complete strangers everywhere it was no surprise when it exploded the way it did. One of the very first proponents of this new sound was Berlin-based record label MFS! Masterminded For Success was formed in 1990 as a way to tap into the burgeoning electronic scene by East German label Deutsche Schallplatten Berlin. When the parent company folded a mere three years later Mark Reeder and Torsten Jurk didn’t lie down and cry. No, they very wisely took out a loan and did everything possible to ensure that the label they loved didn’t meet a premature end. All of which brings us to the rather fab X-Mix 1: The MFS Trip; a label compilation released in 1993 created to soundtrack the first in a series of computer graphic videos by video label K7. -

Artists – Tom Middleton According to Star Wars folklore, Jedi knights are benign individuals able to harness the fundamental energy of the universe, The Force, and make it do their bidding. Not just anyone can do this: only a select few are blessed with the necessary levels of cosmic talent. And even still, the road to Jedi knighthood is long and arduous, requiring years of training, practice and total focus. However those that stay the course are able to wield super-powers far beyond the capabilities of mere mortals. For 30-year-old earthling Tom Middleton - sonic evanchillist, disco catalyst, gastronaught par excellence, beardy bloke from Cornwall - The Force translates as The Funk. And, as Yoda might say, The Funk is strong with this one. Best known for his solo productions as Cosmos, as well as being one half of Global Communication and The Jedi Knights, alongside long-term cohort Mark Pritchard, Middleton's route to mastering The Funk has resulted in a decade-long stream of lightsabre-sharp productions and remixes which have, repeatedly, boldly gone where no-one in the dance music universe has gone before. Along the way, he has kickstarted the late-Nineties chillout explosion (Global Communication's 'ambient house' LP '76:14' inspired the promoters of The Big Chill to start the now-infamous festival in order to give downtempo music greater exposure); he helped shape the Nu School Breaks movement (the Jedi Knights' fusion of house, electro and breakbeats on their 'New School Science' LP is cited by scene leader Adam Freeland as a major -

Ulsect kommer fra den nederlandske byen Tilburg – som fra før er kjent for black metal-bandet Dodecahedron og prog-bandet Textures. Ulsect kommer fra dette miljøet og har med seg gitarist Joris Bonis og trommeslager Jasper Barendregt fra Dodecahedron, samt tidligere Textures-bassist Dennis Aarts. Det kommer derfor ikke som en overraskelse at elementer fra disse bandene gjennomsyrer Ulsects fantastiske debutalbum. Skiva låter som en frekk blanding av pionerer som Gorguts og Deathspell Omega. -
