En analys av läromedel i historia ur ett genusperspektiv Hilena Larsson Sammanfattning Skolan har ett uppdrag att jobba mot traditionella könsmönster och verka för jämställdhet och människors lika värde. Läromedel och främst läroböcker har generellt genom tiderna och än idag en stark ställning i undervisningen. Fram till början av 1990-talet granskade staten alla läromedel, men detta ansvar är idag ålagt skolans rektorer och/eller lärare. Många lärare upplever dock att de inte hinner granska läromedlen och det finns därmed en överhängande risk att läromedlen och läroböckerna som används runtom i landet inte når upp till de krav och mål som finns formulerade i läroplaner och kursplaner. Denna undersökning syftar därför till att analysera tre läromedel för årskurs 4-6 i ämnet historia ur ett genus- och jämställdhetsperspektiv. Undersökningen gjordes till största del genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys men även till viss del genom kvantitativ datainsamling. För analysen av textinnehållet och insamlad data användes olika begrepp och analysverktyg från bland annat Yvonne Hirdmans forskning om genusordning och genuskontrakt, samt Mona Edwertz och Lars Lundströms genustrappa. I analysen framkommer det hur många kvinnor respektive män de olika böckerna skildrar, samt hur dessa framställs. Likt den tidigare forskning som presenteras i studien visar resultatet på en underrepresentation av kvinnor i de tre läromedlen som analyserats och det är främst männens historia och liv som skildras. Förutom en ojämn fördelning av antalet kvinnor och män tycks de tre läromedlen som analyserats upprätthålla traditionella genus- och könsmönster. Detta indikerar att inget av de tre läromedlen som analyserats visar på en medvetenhet kring varken genus eller jämställdhet, och det kan således tolkas som att läroböckerna får svårt att möta läroplanens jämställdhetsmål. 3 Inledning I en tid där jämställdheten mellan män och kvinnor är en ständigt närvarande fråga och där kvinnor både ges och tar allt mer utrymme i det offentliga rummet, är det viktigt att påminnas om att det inte alltid har sett ut på detta sätt. Under 2000-talet har vi sett unga, modiga tjejer som Malala Yousafzai och Greta Thunberg ifrågasätta världsledande politiker, uppmärksamma globala problem och väcka ett stort engagemang hos många människor. De har nått ut till en global publik, till barn och unga och till personer i olika samhällsklasser på ett sätt som inte många andra lyckats med. Deras mod och styrka har gjort dem till två förebilder och till två röster som lyssnas på. Att båda två kommer skrivas in i historieböckerna känns odiskutabelt, och jag tänker på vilket intryck dessa två tjejer har gett och kommer att ge till elever framöver. Detta har väckt ett intresse hos mig, och jag har ställt mig själv frågan om vilka kvinnor jag har läst om i historieböckerna under min skolgång. Heliga Birgitta och drottning Kristina i all ära, men det kan väl ändå inte bara ha varit dessa två? Jag tänker och reflekterar men mina tankar står still, jag kan inte dra mig till minnes att jag läst om särskilt många fler kvinnor. Även under mina åtta år som anställd inom grundskolan har jag läst och mött läromedel i historia där kvinnorna tycks lysa med sin frånvaro. Med ett samhälle,

    Scandinavia - First Known Map This image depicts an early map of Scandinavia - the origination place for many invaders of Rome's former province of Britannia (the country we know as Britain). About a thousand years after Scandinavians and Saxons began their invasions of Britain, Olaus Magnus (1490-1557) started work on his famous Carta Marina (Map of the Sea). It is the first-known map of the Nordic countries depicting them (and their surroundings) in interesting detail. It took twelve years to complete. The first copies of the now-famous map were printed in Venice during 1539. For many years, although people talked about the map, it seemed that the map stories were just stories. Then ... a copy turned-up in Munich, during 1886. Another copy, which was located in Switzerland during 1962, is now maintained at Carolina Rediviva (Uppsala University Library) in Uppsala, Sweden. Olaus Magnus, who was a Catholic Archbishop, understood Latin. He translated the map’s Latin notes into Italian and German. The Dominican order first came to Sweden as early as in the 1220’s, and the history of the brothers’ convents has been described to a much greater extent – at least up to the end of the 14th century –than the history of the sisters. Therefore, a conclusive history of the female convents is still lacking. In this master thesis, I aim to describe the foundation and the history of the Swedish sisters of the Order of Preachers from around 1270 to the closing of the convents in the Reformation Era, around 1540, and also attempt to clarify who the benefactors of the convents were. In part due to the fervour of the reformators, there is a substantial deficiency when it comes to source material pertaining to the Dominican order’s history in Sweden and especially concerning the sisters’ convents.

These runes appear in works published in Italy between 1539 and 1555 either by or in connection with Johannes and Olaus Magnus. The books and the information about runes and runic inscriptions they contain are presented first. A closer look is then taken at the shapes of the runes used and at the roman letters they represent according to the books. It will be shown that these runes and their sound values can in part be traced back to a mediaeval runic tradition, while others were created to provide at least one rune for every roman letter. The forms of the newly “invented” runes can be explained to some extent by the influence of the shape of the roman letters they represent, whereas others were taken from a source that contained runes but did not provide any information about their sound values, namely the runic calendars.     Wittenberg Influences on the Reformation in Scandinavia by Simo Heininen, Otfried Czaika Wittenberg was the most important source of inspiration for the Reformation in both of the Scandinavian kingdoms, the Danish kingdom and the Swedish kingdom. In both kingdoms, the authorities played a defining role in the Reformation, though it proceeded very differently in these two Early Modern states. The Reformation became securely established most quickly – both politically and in terms of church law – in the Danish core territory. Sweden, on the other hand, was de facto already a Lutheran country before 1550, though it did not become Lutheran de jure also until the last decade of the 16th century. Particularly in the peripheral parts of Scandinavia (especially Norway and Iceland), the Reformation went hand in hand with closer political integration in Scandinavia and it was therefore adopted rather reluctantly by the population.     Martin Berntson Chapter 8 “Our Swedish Moses and Saviour”: The Use of Biblical Leaders as Power Legitimization in Reformation Sweden The Vasa-regime that seized royal power in the kingdom of Sweden during the early sixteenth century was in urgent need of a power legitimization that could both corre- spond to well-known traditional symbols and narratives but also at the same time le- gitimize the new regime and its adherence to the Lutheran Reformation. The use of Old Testament kings and leaders such as David, Jehoshaphat, Joseph, and Moses could thereby function as typologies relating to the Jerusalem Code. However, through relating these Old Testament kings with their responsibility for the peoples’ spiritual needs and with their distinctive biblical foundation, the Jerusalem Code was trans- formed and adjusted to early modern Lutheran political culture, emphasizing the king’s responsibility for the Church and for the people’s spiritual well-being and the lack of biblical foundation for the Catholic sacramental culture (for example, mass in Latin, pilgrimage, and the use of sacramentals). It could also be argued that the fre- quent use of figures such as Moses and Joseph was a significant part of the Jerusalem Code in Sweden, signifying both the importance of humility and God’s providence in the secular government. Introduction In the kingdom of Sweden the introduction of the Reformation coincided with a na- tional political revolution.
