Stock Show Schedule
National Western Stock Show and Rodeo is January 12-27th. NWSS is a Denver tradition dating back to 1906. It is the premier livestock, rodeo, and horse show in the nation, and serves agricultural producers and consumers throughout the world. The NWSS is a nationally recognized western heritage and entertainment event, hosting one of the world’s richest regular season professional rodeos. Join Westernaires’ Red Division at the NWSS and come out to see them ride during one the rodeos.

Red Team Graduation Breakfast
The Red Team Graduation Breakfast will be held on Sunday, January 27th, 2019 at 8:00am at the Doubletree by Hilton at 3203 Quebec Street, Denver. The fee this year is $23.00 per person attending. Checks should be made payable to Westernaires. Deadline for ticket purchase is Saturday, January 12th. Riders/parents may leave their check in the office in an envelope with their name on it, the number of tickets being purchased, and the names of the people who the tickets are for. You may also contact Linda Crook, Red Team Monitor, [email protected], (303) 746-5670 for reservations. Please advise of any dietary restrictions (# of tickets for each).
Horse Health Inspections for Stock Show
All horses performing at NWSS in January 2019 are required to have current health certificates completed in order to participate. For owner convenience, health checks are scheduled for Saturday, Jan 5, 2019th between 9:00am and 11:00am at Westernaires. The cost is $15 per horse and checks are to be written to Golden Animal Hospital. Owners may have inspections performed separately by their own vet, but proof of inspection must be provided to monitors by Jan 5th. Since health inspections are only good for 30 days, it is suggested that the inspection be performed toward the end of December. Potential back-up horses should also be inspected in case they are used. Rental horse inspections will be completed by Westernaires at a separate time and there is no fee to renters.
Important: RIDER RELEASE FORMS- LAST WEEKEND!
Rider Release forms have been included in all move-up packets for White Division and are available along with Medical and Rider Information Forms in the Westernaires Office. These forms need to be signed by: Rider, and both parents, or legally responsible parties and returned to monitors by December 22, 2018.
Monitors may then turn in entire team packet in alphabetical order to the office by December 29, 2018.
Failure to file a fully completed form while require riding the rail beginning January 1, 2019, until form has been submitted.

Founded in 1906, the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo is the nation’s premier livestock, rodeo and horse show. National Western also kicks off the PRCA rodeo season. Mark your calendars and plan to attend. All information on Westernaire performances will be coming soon. NW Stock Show and Rodeo is planned for January 12- 27th 2019.
70th Celebration Dinner Hosted by Westernaires Alumni Association
March 16th, 2019 -- Westernaires 70th celebration dinner/dance ball at The Pines in Genesee, sponsored by the Westernaires Alumni Association
Westernaires Instructors Course
The Westernaires Senior Instructor Class will begin on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 7:00 in the AV room and will continue every Thursday through May. This is the opportunity for many to give to the youth of our community by assisting in their instruction at Westernaires. Take a little time from your schedule and join the class. The rewards are huge!
