Kettleshulme Parish Statement (draft)
The settlement of Kettleshulme is located approximately 2 miles southwest of Whaley Bridge and 8 miles northwest of Buxton. Its Conservation Area was designated in 1995. There is no obvious focal point to Kettleshulme as there is no Parish church and the older properties are located along the Macclesfield Road which runs through the eastern side of the village. Later development follows the boundary of the recreation ground which lies centrally within the village and together with the nursery business adjacent , gives Kettleshulme a distinctive open feel. Kettleshulme is located within the slopes and valleys with woodlands of the South West Peak as described within the Peak District Landscape Characteristic Assessment (LSAP 2009).
