2018 marks the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the world’s oldest engineering body.

To celebrate ICE is running ICE 200 - a campaign to highlight the signifcant and positive impact that civil engineers have on people’s lives. This will be achieved through a year of events and activities that show how civil engineering has, for over 200 years, transformed the way we live. ICE 200 also aims to highlight the exciting range of careers that civil engineering offers.

Engineering Plymouth was commissioned as part of ICE 200 to celebrate the amazing feats of engineering that have taken place in the city over the last two centuries, and how projects planned for the future are tackling problems and safeguarding the future for generations to come.

Engineering Plymouth is produced by Wind & Foster, the team behind Engineering the London Underground. ENGINEERING PLYMOUTH ——— BACKGROUND PLYMOUTH ENGINEERING
