Terrorist events this past week focused on a vehicular terrorist attack at an IDF base near Al-Ram (south of Ramallah), carried out with a tractor. IDF soldiers shot and killed the terrorist driving it. Fatah and Hamas praised the attack, which was part of the popular resistance. So far the Palestinian Authority (PA) has not issued a statement regarding the attack. Ismail Haniya, head of the de-facto Hamas administration in the Gaza Strip, gave a speech praising the terrorists who carried out the recent attacks in Judea and Samaria. He called for a "intifada of the masses," saying that the "armed resistance" should not be relinquished as a means of "liberating Palestine." 174-13 2 The Situation in Israel's South IDF Uncovers an IED on the Gaza Strip Border On October 21, 2013, an IDF force carrying out a routine patrol along the Gaza Strip border in the region of Kissufim in the central Gaza Strip uncovered a large IED near the security fence. Using ethnocratic and control theories it argues instead that the Palestinian Christians are inextricably associated with the wider Arab “problem” and remain, as a result, permanently outside the boundaries of the dominant Jewish national consensus. Moreover, this thesis argues that state attitudes towards the small Palestinian Christian communities are quite unique and distinguishable from its attitudes towards other segments of the Palestinian Arab minority, whether Muslim or Druze.

The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center October 5, 2010 Conspicuous among the passengers and organizations aboard the Mavi Marmara were Turkish and Arab Islamic extremists led by IHH. They were joined by extremist European left activists and volunteers who answered the call to help the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and were not 1 partners in IHH's violent plans. (Full Version) The Turkish passenger ship Mavi Marmara, the flagship of the flotilla. It is decorated with the Turkish flag and the logo of the Turkish Islamist organization IHH, the moving spirit behind the flotilla (next to the Turkish flag) (Photo from mycatbirdseat.com, May 22, 2010). 1 This is an executive summary of a detailed report analyzing the human, ideological and organizational components of the passengers aboard the Mavi Marmara. The document itself shortly will be issued separately. 2 2 Executive Summary 1. This objective of this report is to examine the 561 passengers aboard the Mavi Marmara, their identity and the ideology, nature and goals of the organizations behind them, based on the large amount of evidence accumulated since the flotilla. Even if our information is not complete, it clearly provides a picture of their most prominent common characteristics. 2. The Mavi Marmara, the flagship of the last flotilla, was launched, along with two cargo ships, by an extremist Turkish Islamist organization called IHH, which played a key role in the extensive preparations for the voyage. The IHH operatives, some of whom boarded the ship in Istanbul without undergoing a security check, were those who were the most active assailants in the violent, premeditated confrontation with the IDF (while the IDF took control of five other ships – as well as the Rachel Corrie – without exceptional incident).

The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center March 30, 2011 The Palestinian Return Centre: London-based center for anti-Israeli propaganda, affiliated with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, outlawed in Israel. It promotes the demand of the Palestinian refugees to return as a way of destroying Israel. Senior PRC figures send flotillas and convoys to the Gaza Strip and transfer funds to Hamas. (Full version) One of the PRCs anti-Israeli propaganda activities is holding annual Palestinian conferences in various European countries. They focus Arab-Muslim communities in Europe on the ideology and political agenda of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Above, Ismail Haniya, head of the de facto Hamas administration in the Gaza Strip, speaks at the seventh annual conference, held in Milan in 2009 (PRC annual Palestinian conference in Europe website). 339-10 2 Overview The PRC's masthead. The Letter R superimposed on a kaffiyeh stands for "return;" inside it is a miniature map of "Palestine," symbol of the final goal, the establishment of a Palestinian state to replace the State of Israel. 1. The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) is a Palestinian center for anti-Israeli propaganda, established in London in 1996. It is affiliated with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and some of its senior figures are Hamas activists who found refuge in Britain. 2. Its foundation was based on rejection of the Oslo Accords, a strong denial of the right of the State of Israel to exist and the concept of the "right" of the Palestinian refugees and their descendents to return to the places abandoned in 1948, all to be used as tools to fight Israel and the peace process.

MIDDLE EAST The Greek Catholic Archbishop of Jerusalem, Judaea and Samaria, Mgr. Hilarion Capucci, was on Dec. 9 sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment by the Jerusalem district court after being found guilty of smuggling arms and explosives into Israel on behalf of Al Fatah Syrian-born Mgr. Capucci was remanded in custody on Aug. 18 on suspicion of having acted as a courier for Al Fatah Prior to his initial arrest on Aug. 8, police had found weapons, explosives and ammunition concealed in the archbishop's car after he had returned to Israel on July 25 from Beirut. Israeli suspicions in respect of the archbishop's activities had been aroused earlier in the year when it had been established that $750,000 had been stolen from his Jerusalem residence. The arrest of the archbishop caused immediate protests to be lodged by (i) the Patriarch of the Greek Catholic Church in Beirut, who accused the Israelis of seeking to discredit Mgr. Capucci as part of a campaign to disperse the Christian communities in Jerusalem and complete the Jewish takeover of the holy city, and (ii) other Christian leaders in the Arab world, who claimed that the archbishop had been “framed” by Israeli agents because of his outspoken anti-Israel views. Moslem religíous leaders also joined in condemning the arrest. A statement issued after a meeting of Christian and Moslem religious leaders in Amman on Aug.
