KATY CARMICHAEL (co-artistic director) is co-artistic director TRISTAN STURROCK (writer/performer/co-artistic director) of Theatre Damfino with Tristan Sturrock. She directed Mayday was last seen at the 2006 Spoleto Festival USA playing Tristan Mayday at St. Ann’s Warehouse in New York, South West Tour UK, in Kneehigh Theatre’s production of Tristan & Yseult at the Dock and Arts Centre; Frankenspine: My Big Break at Bristol Street Theatre. He has performed with Kneehigh for twenty- Old Vic; and Orpheus and the Furies in St. Pauls Crypt, Bristol. As five years on works that include Brief Encounter at St. Ann’s an actress, she was last at Spoleto Festival USA in 2006, playing Warehouse in New York, Broadway, and the West End; Don Yseult Whitehands in the Kneehigh Theatre production of Tristan John with Bristol Old Vic and Birmingham Repertory Theatre; A & Yseult at the Dock Street Theatre. Other theater credits include Matter of Life and Death and The Riot with National Theatre; Sturm und Drang, Brighton Beach Scumbags opposite Steven and The King of Prussia with . He developed Berkoff, The Beaux’ Stratagem with Bristol Old Vic, The Fall Guy his autobiographical solo show previously called Frankenspine: and Isolated Children in Faraway Places at the Royal Exchange, My Big Break at Bristol Old Vic in 2010. The show then became and Happy Valley at the Liverpool Everyman. On television she is Mayday Mayday and toured the UK, winning the International best known for her roles in Spaced, Coronation Street, Waterloo Fringe Review Award for Outstanding Theatre at the Road, Cutting It, Paul Merton’s Galton and Simpson series, Festival Fringe last year. It had its American premiere at St. Ann’s Clocking Off, Liverpool One, Hex, The Infinite World of HG Wells, Warehouse earlier this spring. Sturrock is an associate artist at One Foot in the Grave, Cold Lazarus, and Death of a Salesman, Bristol Old Vic, where his work includes Peter Pan, Coram Boy, and on film in Martin Amis’s Dead Babies, In the Bleakmidwinter, Treasure Island, Juliet and her Romeo, Faraway, and The Beaux’ and Origin.
