BRYAN BICKELL HEADLINES CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS NIGHT February 15th Chicago Steel game includes visits from Bickell, Tommy Hawk
GENEVA, ILLINOIS — Three-time Stanley Cup champion Bryan Bickell will be in attendance to sign autographs and take photos with fans when the Chicago Steel host their fifth annual Chicago Blackhawks Night on Saturday, February 15 at Fox Valley Ice Arena.
In addition to Bickell, Blackhawks mascot Tommy Hawk, 2019 Inductee into the Mascot Hall of Fame, will be entertaining fans and participating in promotions throughout the night when the Steel face off against the USA Hockey National Team Development Program.
During the game, fans will have the opportunity to win prizes and giveaways including Blackhawks tickets, a Patrick Kane signed photograph and more autographed memorabilia.
“Our fans look forward to this annual tradition with great anticipation,” said Steel President Dan Lehv. “We appreciate the continued partnership with the Blackhawks and are very excited to welcome Bryan and Tommy Hawk to Geneva.”
After being selected in the second round (41st overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft by the Blackhawks, Bickell registered 66 goals and 70 helpers over 395 regular-season contests in the NHL.
In his 75 Stanley Cup Playoffs appearances with Chicago, the Bowmanville, Ontario, native notched 20 markers and added 19 helpers while helping the club to Stanley Cup victories in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
On June 24, 2013, the forward sealed his place in Chicago sports lore by kicking off one of the most improbable Stanley Cup-winning sequences in NHL history. With 1:16 left in regulation of Game 6 of the 2013 Stanley Cup Final against the Boston Bruins, Jonathan Toews found Bickell in front of the Boston net where he buried a goal to tie the game at 3-3, followed by another Hawks goal just 17 seconds later to clinch the franchise’s fifth Stanley Cup.
