EHS Morning Announcements: 2/4/20

Good Morning EHS, today is Tuesday, February 4th, it’s a Great Day to be a Pioneer…Please stand for the pledge.

Track: Perriyon Benton won the hurdles at Oberlin College Sunday while Jackie Sopko placed 6th in the 800m.

Attention EHS: Career and College Club will meet on Wednesday, February 5th during 7th period and on Thursday, February 6th after school. Both meetings will be in room 136.

Attention EHS: Happy Black History Month! Everyday this month there will be a trivia question hidden somewhere around the school on green paper. If you find the question AND know the answer, bring it to the team 2/4 office for a prize!

Attention Sophomores: Sophomores who are considering enrolling in a program at LCJVS next year, now is the time to go into the LCJVS website and apply for admission! It is best to sit down with a parent or guardian when filling out the information on the “apply” site. See Mr. Cake if you have any questions.

Attention EHS: The Library will be open Monday and Wednesday from 8-11:00. Mrs. Redpath will be here on Mondays and Mrs. Goodrich will be here on Wednesdays. You can return books then. There will also be a cart left in the main office for returned books. I am looking for ANY BOOKS that you have out. Books for pleasure reading, but especially overdue class sets such as: The Other Wes Moore, To Kill a Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men, Lord of the flies. These books are way overdue and must be returned. Thank you!

To ALL students: As you're scheduling for next year and you need an elective, please consider taking "The Lost History". It's a Social Studies course about Black History, co-taught by Mr. Hill and Mrs. Runion. You'll find out about some fascinating "new" history!

Attention ANY student who will be 18 years old by November 3rd, 2020: If you would like to register to vote AND be able to vote in Ohio's primary election next month, come see Mrs. Runion in 206W or possibly ask your teacher for a voter registration form. You do NOT need to be 18 to vote in the primary! I can HELP you fill it out, if you'd like, and send it to the Board of Elections for you. DEADLINE FOR ME TO HELP YOU IS FEBRUARY 13th, 2020. You will be on your own after that date, because the firm deadline of Ohio is Feb. 18th to register.
