    PANAM SPORTS REGULATIONS OF THE PAN AMERICAN GAMES INTRODUCTION: The Panam Sports Constitution establishes as one of its main objectives the organization, celebration and conduct of the Pan American Games (hereinafter referred to as “the Games”). The Regulations of the Pan American Games (hereinafter referred to as “the Regulations”) are therefore enacted under the authority of the Panam Sports Constitution to best regulate the celebration and conduct of the Games. The Definitions and Interpretations as found in the Constitution of Panam Sports apply equally to the Regulations. The Regulations constitute the rules, procedures and obligations that all the Members of Panam Sports, the Pan American Sports Confederations, the International Sport Federations and the Organizing Committee of the Games (hereinafter referred to as “the Organizing Committee”), as well as all participants in the Games including athletes, coaches and trainers, officials, members of NOC delegations, and all accredited persons in the Games must comply with and respect, for the purpose of ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and the highest quality in the organization and staging of the Games that will always honor and respect the Olympic Values. Every person and organization that participates in or is engaged in any manner whatsoever with the Games has the obligation of respecting and complying with the Regulations of the Pan American Games. 1 REGULATIONS SECTION I OBJECTIVES: 1. DEVELOPMENT • SHUTTLE TIME • Shuttle Time WAVE – Programme 2019 Following last year experience, Development Area of Pan Am continue with this program aiming to strengthen the members Associations commitment and secure a sustainable growth of badminton at school. The support keeps the same incentive – economic bonus – given to the association that apply, for the dictation of two (02) courses and an incentive for the national shuttle time coordinator by submitting the reports (on time). Up to date 17 member associations has shown their interest to benefit from this program • Shuttle Time – PILOT – BOL To continue the grow of badminton in Bolivia schools, this activity was held with the support of the Badminton Association of Bolivia (Feb. 22 – 28). Accredited Prof. Rolando Monterroso (GUA) was in charge of sharing his knowledge and experience following the contents of the shuttle time program to 19 participants. • Francophone Activity – Martinique The Badminton League of Martinique hosted this activity in Fort de Port for participants coming from French Guiana, Guadeloupe and Haiti, in total 20 athletes (between 10 and 15 years old) and 5 coaches went through 5 days of intense work, ending with a team competition. Two activities were held simultaneously a shuttle time athletes camp to improve their technical skills under the supervision of Prof. Legras (FRA) that also gave the opportunity for coaches to improve their knowledge on how to prepare and deliver training sessions. Some of the duties mentioned were attendance of board conference calls, timely responses to e-mail correspondence and electronic votes, reading all briefing book materials, approving tournament hosts, new member applications and contracts, and maintaining familiarity with and following disc sports news and social media. He reminded that everything a board member does or comments on reflects on WFDF and the board and might affect partners of WFDF. Board members should support decisions made even if they personally disagree. They should follow the WFDF Code of Ethics such as equality and dignity, integrity, good governance and confidentiality.
