In the Canton of Basel-Land- schaft, there are many small, medium-sized and large companies which are successfully posi- tioned on the market and are extremely satisfied with local economic conditions. However, it is also important that new companies feel wel- come. That’s why we have set up a “Welcome Desk” for both new and existing companies. It serves as a central point of contact for estab- lished and prospective companies as well as start-up entrepreneurs. We all benefit from companies that move here: our construction companies and suppliers, the employees, job seekers, restaurants and retail trade, the canton and also the communes. Over the decades a good foundation of structures have been built up in the region that provide a mix of skilled labour, modern and continually expanding infrastructure, an interna- tionally attractive tax model, a stable political and economic environment. We have various strategic development areas, i.e., sites which are developed in cooperation with the communes, private landowners and investors for a common goal – a sustainable increase in the value of these sites. Besides good infrastructural conditions, there is also the need for an environment in which the population benefits from a high quality of life. Educational institutions are important as well as cultural opportunities and many other local advantages. These factors are rated important, not least by many decision-makers in international companies. This is one of the reasons why I put the emphasis on the word Landschaft (Country). Basel-Landschaft also stands for recreation, for depth, which contribute significantly to the attractiveness of our canton. Die Agglomeration Basel erringt im Wettbewerb um Bundesmittel einen wichtigen Erfolg. Für die 3. Generation erhält das Agglomerationsprogramm Basel gemäss Bundesratsbeschluss insgesamt CHF 110 Mio. für Verkehrsprojekte. Der Vollanschluss Aesch an der A18 ist neu ein A-Projekt und wird durch den Bund zu 40% mitfinanziert. Ende Dezember 2016 hat die Agglomeration Basel das 3. Programm beim Bund eingereicht. Nach Abschluss der technischen Prüfung im Sommer 2017 gab der Bund im Januar 2018 den Botschaftsentwurf in die Vernehmlassung. Darin waren zentrale Anliegen der trinationalen Agglomeration Basel allerdings nicht berücksichtigt. Die trinationale Trägerschaft hat daraufhin gemeinsam zum Botschaftsentwurf Stellung bezogen, dem Bund wichtige Informationen und Anregungen übergeben und mit Nachdruck Verbesserungen gefordert. Der Bundesrat hat nun in der am 14. September 2018 zu Händen des Parlaments verabschiedeten Botschaft über die Verpflichtungskredite ab 2019 für die Beiträge an Massnahmen im Rahmen des Programms Agglomerationsverkehr zentrale Forderungen der Trägerschaft des Agglomerationsprogramms Basel berücksichtigt. Der Beschluss des Eidgenössischen Parlaments wird im 2. Quartal 2019 erwartet. Die meisten essbaren Pilze gibt es in den Monaten April bis Ende Oktober. Im April schon kann man Morcheln finden. Der Mai schenkt uns ab und an Mairitterlinge. Ab Juni kann man damit rechnen, die wunderbar schmeckenden Pfifferlinge zu finden. Diese Pilzsorte wächst gern in Schonungen, unter Tannen, im Mischwald. Hat man einen größeren Pfifferling entdeckt, kann man damit rechnen, dass weitere kleine daneben stehen, die man sieht, wenn man die Augen weit aufmacht. Pfifferlinge gibt es bis in den Oktober. Im Juli findet man dann auch schon vereinzelt Maronen, Steinpilze oder Rotkappen. Die eigentliche Zeit dieser Sorte von Pilzen geht aber meist erst ab Mitte August los, vorausgesetzt, es ist nicht zu trocken. Ab September gibt es dann die gut schmeckenden Semmelstoppelpilze, die meist an Moos bedeckten Stellen im lichten Kiefernwald oder an Wegrändern zu finden sind. August bis Mitte Oktober hat es die meisten Pilze auch giftige Arten - eben eine sehr grosse Vielfalt. Dann heisst es obacht geben auf die giftigen Doppelgänger der beliebtesten Speisepilze! Bis gegen Ende des Monats Oktober hat der Pilzler meist schon so viele Pilze gefunden, dass er sich einen 'Wintervorrat' anlegen konnte. Gedörrt, gefroren oder eingelegt erfreuen sie dann 'hors saison' das Gourmetherz: Als Sauce zu Pasta und Fleisch oder in der Kartoffelsuppe, im Fondue, im Risotto.
