Maria Khayutina [email protected] The Tombs of Peng State and Related Questions Paper for the Chicago Bronze Workshop, November 3-7, 2010 (, 1.1.) () The discovery of the Western Zhou period’s Peng State in Heng River Valley in the south of Shanxi Province represents one of the most fascinating archaeological events of the last decade. Ruled by a lineage of Kui (Gui ) surname, Peng, supposedly, was founded by descendants of a group that, to a certain degree, retained autonomy from the Huaxia cultural and political community, dominated by lineages of Zi , Ji and Jiang surnames. Considering Peng’s location right to the south of one of the major Ji states, Jin , and quite close to the eastern residence of Zhou kings, Chengzhou , its case can be very instructive with regard to the construction of the geo-political and cultural space in Early China during the Western Zhou period. Although the publication of the full excavations’ report may take years, some preliminary observations can be made already now based on simplified archaeological reports about the tombs of Peng ruler Cheng and his spouse née Ji of Bi . In the present paper, I briefly introduce the tombs inventory and the inscriptions on the bronzes, and then proceed to discuss the following questions: - How the tombs M1 and M2 at Hengbei can be dated? - What does the equipment of the Hengbei tombs suggest about the cultural roots of Peng? - What can be observed about Peng’s relations to the Gui people and to other Kui/Gui- surnamed lineages? 1. CONFORMED COPY LOAN NUMBER 7909-CN Public Disclosure Authorized Project Agreement Public Disclosure Authorized (Henan Ecological Livestock Project) between INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT Public Disclosure Authorized and HENAN PROVINCE Dated July 26, 2010 Public Disclosure Authorized PROJECT AGREEMENT AGREEMENT dated July 26, 2010, entered into between INTERNATIONAL BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT (the “Bank”) and HENAN PROVINCE (“Henan” or the “Project Implementing Entity”) (“Project Agreement”) in connection with the Loan Agreement of same date between PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA (“Borrower”) and the Bank (“Loan Agreement”) for the Henan Ecological Livestock Project (the “Project”). The Bank and Henan hereby agree as follows: ARTICLE I – GENERAL CONDITIONS; DEFINITIONS 1.01. The General Conditions as defined in the Appendix to the Loan Agreement constitute an integral part of this Agreement. 1.02. Unless the context requires otherwise, the capitalized terms used in the Project Agreement have the meanings ascribed to them in the Loan Agreement or the General Conditions. ARTICLE II – PROJECT 2.01. Henan declares its commitment to the objective of the Project. To this end, Henan shall: (a) carry out the Project in accordance with the provisions of Article V of the General Conditions; and (b) provide promptly as needed, the funds, facilities, services and other resources required for the Project. 2.02. Agriculture, industry, and living are considered as the direct water consumption. This paper employs the concept of marginal product value to estimate the water consumption marginal benefits in Henan Province. We use data on agri- cultural water consumption, industrial water consumption, and domestic water consumption of 18 cities in Henan Province surveyed from 2006 to 2013 and considered the Cobb–Douglas production function. The results showed that, during the study period, except for the marginal benefit of agricul- ture in high developed area, the industrial and domestic water use increased, and the industrial and domestic water use benefits were much higher than agricultural. At the same time, the benefit of the developed area was higher than the developing area. The benefits of agricultural water consumption and industrial water consumption in high developed area have made great improvements gradually, while benefits in low developed area have made small changes; but the benefits of domestic water con- sumption presented the opposite trend. -

Health-Related Quality of Life and Its Related Factors in Coronary Heart Disease Patients
www.nature.com/scientificreports OPEN Health‑related quality of life and its related factors in coronary heart disease patients: results from the Henan Rural Cohort study Yong‑xia Mei1,2,3, Hui Wu4,5,6, Huan‑yun Zhang3, Jian Hou2, Zhen‑xiang Zhang1, Wei Liao2, Xiao‑tian Liu2, Sheng‑xiang Sang2, Zhen‑xing Mao2, Dong‑bin Yang3,7*, Chong‑jian Wang2* & Wei‑hong Zhang1* The aims were to identify the possible infuencing factors of health‑related quality of life (HRQoL) and its domain‑specifc scores in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). A total of 1247 patients with CHD from the Henan Rural Cohort Study (n = 39,259) were included in this study. The Chinese version of the European Quality of Life Five Dimension Five level scale (EQ‑5D‑5L) and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) were used to evaluate HRQoL in patients with CHD. Tobit regression, generalized linear models and binary logistic regression were applied to determine the potential factors infuencing the EQ‑5D utility, as well as each domain, and the VAS. CHD patients had lower per capita monthly actual income, and higher rates of diabetes mellitus, stroke, anxiety and poor sleep quality, which signifcantly decreased EQ‑5D index and VAS scores. In addition, sex, older age, education, not having a spouse, ever drinking alcohol, a high‑fat diet, physical activity, hypertension and depression afected the various domain‑specifc EQ‑5D scores in CHD patients. CHD patients in rural areas have a lower HRQoL. Factors associated with the EQ‑5D index, including each domain, and the VAS need attention.
