Four cities including Anyang, Xinxiang, Jiaozuo, Puyang and 14 counties of Haihe Basin are involved in the projects. Haihe Basin is one of the worst polluted water system in China and more than 80% have been polluted. Henan is the second biggest province in Haihe Basin and five cities in its north part: Anyang, Jiaozuo, Puyang, Xinxiang and Hebi. The main rivers of these five cities have been polluted by family or industry sewage. And the pollution dose impact the middle line engineering through Henan Province of South-to-North Water Diversion. The construction of these projects will improve the waste water management and water supply of these five cities and will make environment and public sanitation better and control the pollution of Haihe Basin.
