So I would like to explain my position. I AM IN SUPPORT OF THE REQUEST BY BARROW-UPON-TRENT PARISH COUNCIL TO SDDC FOR THE CHANGE OF OUR PARISH BOUNDARY AS PROPOSED IN FEBUARY 2015. 14.07.16 2 A G Eley OBE AE 6 Beaumont Close I am a long-term resident of the village of Barrow on Trent Y E MRCGP Barrow on Trent and I am responding to the call for consultation regarding the Derby community governance review of the parish. Barrow on Trent DE73 7HQ is fortunate in having a Parish Council which reflects the feeling of the local residents. The Parish Council have been proposing to transfer the land in question to Stenson Fields Parish over a number of years Changes within the parish over the last 20 years have resulted in the parish becoming isolated from the north- eastern portion of the parish. This followed directly from the construction of the A50 road which cut across the parish and isolated the portion of the land which is contiguous to the parishes of Stenson Fields and the City of Derby. Adoption of South Derbyshire District Council Local Plan Part 1 means that this land will be developed over the next 20 years as residential accommodation comprising some 2000 units. This would place an unreasonable change on the character of the Parish of Barrow on Trent which currently has a population of only some 500 souls. The new residential accommodation will be contiguous to both Stenson Fields and the City of Derby and will have no connection with the parish of Barrow on Trent and will be physically separated from the remainder of the parish by both the A50 road and the Trent and Mersey Canal. The proposed new development is separated by road from the built environment of the village of Barrow on Trent by a distance of 1.5 kilometres It will also look for its services towards the existing centre established within the Sinfin District Centre. Our Church Mission Statement states: “We are a Christian Fellowship (including Anglican, Methodist and United Reformed ministries) committed to serving God and sharing the Good News of Jesus with everyone.” We are a team of 6 Stewards who represent the three denominations for legal reasons two of us are Churchwardens although we are all equal. We work well together as a team and represent the congregation as the lay leadership. This profile will tell you something about our uniqueness of being an LEP of 48 years, how we operate, and how we work together to be a Christian witness in our community, in Derby, and beyond. We are praying for the right person to come along to lead and share with us in the next stage of our journey. It identifies the basic actions we must collectively take if we are to protect and enhance the key biodiversity of this region. The UK Government recognises its international obligations and the economic urgency to protect biodiversity and ecosystems. This LBAP is part of that delivery and local reporting mechanism. During the first week of the closure, work will be carried out under two way traffic lights but from Monday 20th January, it may be necessary to close the north-bound carriageway and traffic will have to follow the agreed diversion route (AM only). In anticipation of potential delays and diversions, it has been agreed to bring forward timetables for affected services and information is attached with this letter. The additional time provided is to ensure that services arrive at Chellaston Academy on time and operators have been given permission to follow the agreed diversion route each morning from Monday 13th January if there are significant traffic delays caused by the two-way lights.
