Särskilt har vi tittat på hur sångliga och kroppsliga praktiker tillsammans påverkar hur maskulinitet och femininitet kan gestaltas och hur gestaltningen blir läsbar för en publik. En genomgående frågeställning har gällt relationen mellan operan som material och konstnärligt verk i egen rätt – mellan sångarens och rollens behov.
