Η εργασία που θα υποβάλλεται στο περιοδικό για δημοσίευση θα πρέπει: • εφόσον πρόκειται για εργασία η οποία προέρχεται από αναπαραγωγή ή μετάφραση βιβλίου, άρθρου ή κειμένου, να επισυνάπτεται η εξασφάλιση αδείας από τον συγγραφέα για τη χρησιμοποίησή του και να αναφέρεται ευκρινώς ο συγγραφέας, τίτλος, εκδοτικός οίκος, χρονολογία έκδοσης • να υποβάλλεται σε ηλεκτρονική μορφή (Microsoft Word), να μην υπερβαίνει τις 7.000 λέξεις και να συνοδεύεται, εφόσον αυτό είναι δυνατό, από ανάλογο φωτογραφικό υλικό –πρωτότυπες φωτογραφίες ή σκαναρισμένες σε ανάλυση 300 dpi– σε οπτικό δίσκο (CD), κατάλληλο για αναπαραγωγή • να κινείται μέσα σε ευπρεπές και τεκμηριωμένο επιστημονικά και τεχνικά πλαίσιο, χωρίς αιχμές ή οξύτητες και προκλήσεις • να μην περιέχει διαβαθμισμένες πληροφορίες • να μην είναι αντίθετη ή επικριτική προς την επίσημη εθνική πολιτική της χώρας • να παραπέμπτει υποχρεωτικά σε βιβλιογραφία • να υποβάλλεται ένα σύντομο βιογραφικό του συντάκτη. Προκειμένου για εργασίες επετειακού χαρακτήρα (28η Οκτωβρίου-25η Μαρτίου κ.λπ.), θα πρέπει να υποβάλλονται τουλάχιστον προ εξαμήνου, έτσι ώστε να δημοσιεύονται ως επίκαιρες από το περιοδικό μας. Η Στρατιωτική Επιθεώρηση δέχεται για δημοσίευση εργασίες πρωτότυπες ή από μετάφραση, τα αντι- κείμενα των οποίων περιλαμβάνονται στη θεματογραφία του Παραρτήματος «Α» της Πάγιας Διαταγής του ΓΕΣ με αριθμό 0-17/2001, δηλαδή: Στρατιωτικά Θέματα: Εθνική ­μυνα, Τακτική και Στρατηγική, Οργάνωση ΕΔ, Πολεμικά Μέσα και ­λικά, Ηγεσία - Ηθικές Δυνάμεις, Στρατιωτική Γεωγραφία, Στρατιωτική Ιστορία, Διοικητική Μέριμνα, Τεχνολογικές Εξελίξεις. Γενικότερα Θέματα: Στρατιωτικής - Πολιτικής Φύσης (Παγκόσμιο Περιβάλλον, Συνασπισμοί, Συμμαχίες, Διεθνείς Οργανισμοί, Διεθνείς Τάσεις - Εξελίξεις, Γεωπολιτική, Γεωφυσική, Διάστημα, Εθνικά Θέματα). Εγκυκλοπαιδικά Θέματα: Οικονομικά και Πολιτικά, Κοινωνικά, Θρησκευτικά, Φιλοσοφικά, Τέχνες - Επιστήμες, Ιστορικά, Λειτουργία του Δημοκρατικού Πολιτεύματος και των Δημοκρατικών Θεσμών. Η απόφαση για δημοσίευση ή μη μιας εργασίας λαμβάνεται από την Επιτροπή Σύνταξης, ανεξάρτητα δε από τη δημοσίευσή της, η επιστροφή της στον συγγραφέα δεν προβλέπεται. Οι συγγραφικές αμοιβές υπόκεινται στην Κ­Α ­π. Αριθμ. 2/76198/0022 (ΦΕΚ 208/τΒ΄/11-02-2008). Εφό- σον δημοσιευθεί η εργασία, οι συντάκτες δικαιούνται για κάθε τυπογραφική σελίδα (μεγέθους χαρτιού 17,5 Χ 25 εκ.) 2.300 χαρακτήρων αμοιβή 6,53 € για πρωτότυπη μελέτη και 3,97 € για εργασίες από μετάφραση. Οι δικαιούχοι συγγραφικών αμοιβών, μετά την έκδοση και διανομή του αντίστοιχου τεύχους του περιοδικού, μπορούν να επικοινωνούν με τη Δνση Χρηματικού του Τ­ΕΣ στο τηλ. 210 6552659. Η έκδοση του περιοδικού γίνεται ανά 4μηνο (3 τεύχη κατ’ έτος). Τα λόγια αυτά ανή- κουν στον Βασιλιά Κωνσταντίνο και έμελ- λε να γίνουν πραγμα- τικότητα πριν ακόμα ζεσταθούν οι κάννες των πυροβόλων, στην πιο πολυαίμα- κτη μάχη στη νεώτε- ρη ελληνική πολεμική ιστορία, στη μάχη του Κιλκίς-Λαχανά. 1 Το άρθρο αποτελεί εκτεταμένο απόσπασμα από το έργο του συγγραφέα με τίτλο «Κιλκίς-Λαχανάς 1913: Η πιο αιματηρή μάχη της νεώτερης ελληνικής ιστορίας», το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε το 2014 από τη Γνώμων Εκδοτική, στο πλαίσιο της σειράς «Μεγάλες Μάχες». Το συγκεκριμένο απόσπασμα προέρχε- ται από την επιστολή που έστειλε ο Στρατηγός Μιχαήλ Σαβώφ, ο βοηθός του αρχιστρατήγου του Βουλγαρικού Στρατού, στον Πρωθυπουργό Γκέσωφ και αποτελεί δείγμα του πολεμικού πνεύματος που διακατείχε την ανώ- τατη στρατιωτική ηγεσία. Ένα πνεύμα που όμως ερχόταν σε αντίθεση με τη μετριοπαθή στάση του Γκέσωφ και ορισμένων ανώτατων στρατιωτικών, όπως ο Στρατηγός Φίτσεφ, Αρχηγός του Επιτελείου κατά τον Α΄ Βαλκανικό Πόλεμο.     - 1 - Daily Report 40/2020 18 February 20201 Summary • Compared with the previous 24 hours, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations in Donetsk region and fewer in Luhansk region. • The Mission continued monitoring the disengagement areas near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske. • The SMM saw weapons in violation of withdrawal lines on both sides of the contact line in Donetsk region and in a non-government-controlled area of Luhansk region. • An SMM long-range unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) spotted three electronic warfare systems and an active radar system near non-government-controlled Verbova Balka. • An SMM long-range UAV spotted a train moving eastwards towards the border near non- government-controlled Voznesenivka. • Due to signal interference, the SMM lost connection with two of its mini-UAVs near non-government-controlled Holubivske and was unable to recover them. • The SMM’s freedom of movement was restricted again at checkpoints of the armed formations in Verkhnoshyrokivske in southern Donetsk region and close to a border area near non-government-controlled Voznesenivka in Luhansk region.* Ceasefire violations2 Number of recorded ceasefire violations3 Number of recorded explosions4 1 Based on information from the Monitoring Teams as of 19:30, 17 February 2020. Summary Compared with the previous 24 hours, the SMM recorded more ceasere violations in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The Mission observed weapons in violation of withdrawal lines on both sides of the contact line. The SMM facilitated and monitored adherence to the ceasere to enable repairs to essential civilian infrastructure as well as damaged houses in Marinka and Krasnohorivka. It continued to facilitate the operation of the Donetsk Filtration Station. Restrictions of the Mission’s access continued in all three disengagement areas. The SMM was also restricted at two weapons storage sites in non- government-controlled-areas of Donetsk region, as well as Novoamvrosiivske and Makiivka and close to Voznesenivka, a non- government-controlled area of Luhansk region near the border with the Russian Federation.* Ceasefire violations[1] In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations, including about 70 explosions, compared with the previous 24 hours (about 45 explosions). More than half of the ceasere violations were recorded in areas south-east of Svitlodarsk (government-controlled, 57km north-east of Donetsk). In Luhansk region, the SMM recorded more ceasere violations (of which more than half were recorded in the security zone), including about 200 explosions, compared with the previous 24 hours (85 explosions). More than half of the explosions were recorded in areas south of Syrotyne (government-controlled, 71km north-west of Luhansk) and south-east of Zolote-2/Karbonit (government-controlled, 62km west of Luhansk) (see the disengagement areas section below).

First practiced systematically during the Second World War period, terrain masking relies mostly upon the denial of direct line of sight between the aircraft and the surface based observer, or sensor. The technique was exploited intensively during the Cold War period, with a number of combat aircraft designs optimized for this penetration regime, with specific design optimizations in aerodynamics, propulsion and avionics. Specific types include the F-105 and F-111, and the later Panavia MRCA/Tornado and B-1 (Flight Manual, 1970; 1972).
