CELIA FANTAUZZI JOINS APPLE BANK FOR SAVINGS AS VICE PRESIDENT AND BAY RIDGE BRANCH MANAGER

BROOKLYN, NY – SEPTEMBER 10, 2018 – Apple Bank for Savings has announced the appointment of Celia Fantauzzi as Vice President and Branch Manager at the bank’s Bay Ridge, branch office located at 426 86th Street. Ms. Fantauzzi joins Apple Bank from TD Bank, where she most recently served as Store Manager of the Crown Heights, Brooklyn branch office.

James Matera, Executive Vice President and Head of Apple Bank’s Consumer Banking Division, said, “We are very pleased that Celia Fantauzzi has joined the Apple Bank team in Brooklyn. Celia brings strong retail banking experience to Apple Bank, having served in senior branch management positions in Brooklyn with TD Bank, Flushing Bank and Astoria Bank.”

Prior to joining Apple Bank, Ms. Fantauzzi was with TD Bank for four years as the Store Manager in their Crown Heights branch office. She had joined TD Bank in 2014 from Flushing Bank where she had been Area Manager for four Brooklyn areas including Williamsburgh, Downtown Brooklyn, Midwood and Bay Ridge.

Ms. Fantauzzi began her banking career with Washington Mutual in 2005 as a Financial Center Manager where she oversaw the opening of a new financial center in Glendale, . She then moved on to open another new financial center for Washington Mutual in Ridgewood, Queens in 2007. In 2008, Ms. Fantauzzi became an Assistant Branch Manager at Astoria Federal where she served in a “floating” capacity for the bank’s Brooklyn locations.

Ms. Fantauzzi has been an active member of several Brooklyn business and civic associations including the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce,

1 Williamsburgh Merchants Association, EVICO Development and Fund B Services.

Prior to entering banking, Ms. Fantauzzi spent over a decade in retailing with Hit or Miss, where she began as an Assistant Store Manager while in school and was eventually promoted to District Manager supervising multiple stores in .

Ms. Fantauzzi grew up in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, and graduated from Samuel Tilden High School. She later attended Baruch College. She and her husband currently live in Canarsie in Brooklyn, and they have two grown children.
