Regan continues to produce the excellent form that has seen him such a threat this season and once again he was on top form in this game; his runs down the right always carried a threat and another dangerous cross on 53 minutes saw Langley have to come out to collect. OLIVER OXLEY mis-kicked in the box before, on 56 minutes, the same player robbed the final defender 10 yards into the Winsford half and streaked to the edge of the area and curved a great shot around Langley into the corner of the goal. It was a really fine finish. Charnock then made a couple of substitutions, Jack Bennett came on for Lewis Haydock and Aaron Griffith replaced James Walker. The fourth goal and the substitutions seemed to reduce the competitiveness of Charnock as complacency crept into their game consequently a lot of the sparkle disappeared. Winsford, despite facing a mammoth task to take anything from the game, never gave up and continued to push forward right up to the final whistle but chances were difficult to carve out. Lewis Pilgrim replaced Oliver Oxley after 71 minutes. On 81 minutes Regan raced away down the right after the Villagers had cleared a corner and laid the ball off to Pilgrim in the box his first shot was blocked and the follow up again hit a defender. Lewis was disappointed not to have scored his first goal for the first team. An Anoruo header brought a decent save out of Ascroft in the 84th minute as the game slowly petered out.

The Villagers could be very satisfied with their performance having produced some exciting football played with great enthusiasm. This was Charnock’s third league win in a row and the three points moved them into the top half of the table for the first time this season.
