Yes here we are, back at the start of a new campaign for what will undoubtedly be a very competitive season. I am confident we will do well as in addition to the squad we had last season we have made some great new signings in Chris Swailes, Jordan Nellis, Lee McAndrew, Johnny Wilson and Jack Betts with only Matty Grieve and Stephen Buzzeo leaving for pastures new.

The answer was less easy to find than the question was to pose.

  • Edition 10: 20Th September 2013
Edition 10: 20th September 2013 Rugby World Cup 2015 Lead Up and Legacy Activity The RFU launched the seven strands of its national Lead up and Legacy plan on October 31st 2012. The aim of this is to set out an overall framework against which national resource will be invested in the lead up to RWC 2015 with the aim of increasing interest and participation in the game. Whilst many Clubs, CBs, Schools, Colleges, Universities and other bodies are working hard to develop local projects to meet identified local need these seven strands are areas in which we will invest national resource to create change in Rugby communities across the country. It is hoped that those delivery bodies that have not yet identified their focus will focus in on these areas and take action to improve provision and opportunities against these themes. Six Regional Activation and Legacy Groups are now up and running and are working to add value to the seven strands and to engage partners from outside of the immediate rugby community in supporting the efforts of those within it. Each group is populated by representatives from CBs and from the wider community. Attached as an appendix to this CB update is a brief overview of progress against the seven strands along with listings of clubs/projects etc involved to date – this will be updated for each issue. In addition to the work against the seven strands strong working relationships have been established with England Rugby 2015, the Organising Body for the tournament itself, and an update on relevant areas are also included in the appendix.

They are managed by a good friend of ours in Mark Collingwood and we will always be grateful to him and Red Star in the year of our promotion. They found themselves being 3-0 down away to Jarrow Roofing, but they pulled back to 3 goals each, and then, after having their goalkeeper sent off, managed to hold on to a draw playing the whole of the 2nd half with 10 men.

Pitching In League Southern Premier Division Central Official matchday magazine Saturday 19 September 2020 3pm Today’s visitors: Rushall Olympic FC Today’s match sponsor: Daniel & Paul Andrews Today’s matchball sponsor: Jason Burns Gardening Services1 2 From the Dugout Leiston FC This is our first league game and it’s been a long Club Information: time coming!!!! Last Saturday we played Halstead in the FA Cup, a match which we were obviously expected to win. Sometimes that’s a no-win situation unless you win the game very convincingly. We got off to a bright start and could have been more than 3 goals up at half-time, and although the 2nd half didn’t start how the 1st finished we picked up the pace and shifted the ball Club Officials: very well to end the game very much in control with a real positive feeling amongst the lads. Myself and Darren can’t fault the lads in the way they are progressing and taking on new ideas. This puts us in a really positive position coming into this game. Unfortunately, we lose Matty Richardson, who is moving to America to continue his studies, but we are confident that the squad numbers will soon be back to where they were, so watch this space. Let’s hope come 4.45pm on Saturday we are off the mark as the buzz around the ground is fantastic at the moment and the fans and committee deserve some positivity.
