Whilst the bidding increments will be solely at the Auctioneers discretion, they will normally be 10% of the preceding bid. If any dispute arises during the auction, then their decision will be binding, even if they choose to re offer the specific lot again. Buyers Commission Will be charged at 18% of the hammer price of all lots. In addition to this V.A.T. at 20% will be charged on the commission only on standard rate items only. This means that programmes and most paper emphera do not attract this charge, please enquire when unsure. Bidding on the telephone. Live During The Sale It is possible to arrange for clients to bid live during the auction. This must be arranged in advance with Sporting Memorys Worldwide Auctions, and will be allocated on a 'first come, first served basis' Bidding on the internet. Live During The Sale Sporting Memory’s offer an online bidding service via the-saleroom.com for bidders who cannot attend the sale. In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your credit card details (for identification purposes only) you authorize Sporting Memory’s to invoice you for the full amount including an extra 4.95% + VAT commission surcharge. Payment should be made in accordance with our ‘payment of accounts’ terms shown below. Commission Bid by Letter. Fax. Telephone or E-Mail A client may instruct the auctioneer to bid on their behalf up to a fixed amount. The commission will be executed at a price as low as other bidding allows. Please remember that all methods of bidding attract the commission of 18% on the hammer price. The closing date for bidding by letter is the day of the sale. Payment of accounts The accounts office will be open to accept payment, thirty minutes after the start. Payment can be made by Cheque, Bank Draft, Money Order or Cash. It is deeply regretted that due to the very high cost involved we are not able to accept payment by any debit or credit cards. Invoices for clients not attending the sale will be forwarded by Monday 16th November 2020, and a payment is due within 7 days. Goods Collection No goods can be collected until payment has been made in full. In the event of a client paying by cheque, an amount exceeding the bank guarantee card limit, then the goods will not be released until the cheque has cleared. NO EXCEPTION WILL BE, MADE IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES unless prior arrangement has been made with Robert Adcock of Sporting Memory's Worldwide Auctions Ltd, which may include the references being required from the client’s bankers. THE CITIZENS POST FROM THE BOARDROOM Good Evening all and welcome to the Simplyhealth City Ground for our first home league game of the 2018- 19 season, against Thatcham Town. The Kingfishers are still riding on the crest of a wave following last seasons’ league success, not to mention the FA Vase. It is great to welcome back to the Simplyhealth City Ground, Danny Robinson, Matt Benham, Andy Jenkinson, Michael Miller and Matt Scott this evening too. It has been a successful summer on the pitch with victories against Cove, Kidlington, Eastleigh, Dorchester Town and Hungerford Town. There were also creditable draws with Weymouth and Salisbury, not to mention winning the Dave Jose Memorial Trophy away at Bashley on penalties. Off the pitch, there have been several new additions to the committee, we welcome to the committee: Jo Brocksom Ryan Andress Allan Higgs Ken Raisbeck Liam Difford Thank-you to all Members and Season Ticket Holders that have renewed for this 2018-19 campaign, your support is very much appreciated! Hannah Kitcher To open my manifesto to stand for the Dons Trust Board stating I grew up supporting Southampton FC isn’t the best way to try and win your support. I can’t declare my loyalty credentials as having been a Wimbledon (FC or AFC) season ticket holder for more than 80% of my life. I can’t claim to have experienced the hurt of 2002 nor sing with the same nostalgia and longing to go home, back to Plough Lane. Sometimes, I do feel that because of this, I am somehow a less of a fan. Perhaps I’m trying to compensate for this by standing for the Board? Perhaps I shouldn’t start psychoanalysing myself in my manifesto? But supporting a football club isn’t about racking up the loyalty points. We’ll leave the point scoring to those on the pitch please! One fan is not better than another. We do not come with FIFA scores. We are the mass in the stands. We are a community that comes together at the games to get behind the team. We may disagree with one another about tactics, players and performance. We may also disagree with one another about what goes on off the pitch. But that’s ok because, (warning: I’m about to quote Gandhi), “honest disagreement is often a good sign of progress.” We need more disagreement. We’ve recently seen how the lack of disagreement, contestation or interrogation to the proposal season-ticket holders who don’t attend at least 80% of matches wouldn’t be allowed to automatically renew their ticket, has led to the club having to backtrack.
