GAF-FIRE Product Information

Gaf-Fire is a high quality, waterproof, vinyl coated cloth tape single coated with a flame retardant, natural rubber based adhesive. The product conforms to Ford specifications ESB-M3G71-B and S95GG14K02 4CA.

PRODUCT FEATURES

• Flame retardant • High tack • High tensile strength • Easy unwind

TYPICAL AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS

• Wire harness splicing • Clip retention • NVH • Protective harness wrapping

APPLICATION TO SURFACE

Unwind adhesive tape and apply the adhesive side to the mounting surface. Apply firm pressure. Recommended application temperature to achieve best results is 18°C (65°F) or above. Proper bonding may not occur unless adhesive and surface material are both at 18°C (65°F) or above.

Note: When applying pressure sensitive adhesive tapes to any surface, be sure that the surface is free from oil or other surface contaminates such as powder, dust or release agents. Adhesive performance should be carefully checked when used on substrates containing plasticizers. Shelf life is one year from date of shipment, when stored in a cool, dry place below 24°C (76°F). Rolls should be stored on end.
