MAINLINE AND ISLAND LINE On 19 May 2019, South Western Railway will be introducing changes to its timetable, adding over 300 train services per week across the network. Many of these service enhancements are based on consultations that were undertaken with stakeholders. We are very pleased to see these improvements come to fruition. The highlights for the main line are:

• Additional services from Southampton / / area stations to / from Waterloo • Additional peak hour services on the Southampton mainline • Some faster Waterloo / Weymouth services • Additional services between Waterloo and , Botley and • Additional fast Sunday evening service from Poole and Waterloo calling at Bournemouth and Southampton Central only – reduces overcrowding on Weymouth services • New to Reading, Andover and services on Sundays • Additional fast Monday – Saturday evening services between Basingstoke, Woking and Waterloo with additional peak hour services • Additional Clapham Junction calls on West of services to / from Basingstoke and Woking outside peak periods • The Island Line summer Sunday service of two trains per hour will continue throughout the winter • The detailed changes to the main line and Island Line services have been grouped below as follows: • New, extended or reduced services • Changes to stopping patterns (some of these are incorporated in 1. above)

Changes, Extended or Reduced Stopping Patterns (see also some changes within section 1 above) Mondays to Fridays • 05.00 Portsmouth Harbour to Basingstoke and 06.23 Basingstoke to Waterloo will be combined as a through train from Portsmouth Harbour to Waterloo [via Eastleigh] but will no longer call at Clapham Junction • 05.20 Southampton Central to Waterloo will no longer call at Woking • 05.43 Portsmouth Harbour to Waterloo [via Eastleigh] will call additionally at Woking (07.34) • 06.44 Basingstoke to Southampton Central will extend to Bournemouth (08.15), calling at Totton (07.34) and Brockenhurst (07.49 – 08.00) • 06.44 Southampton Central to Portsmouth & Southsea extends to Portsmouth Harbour (07.25) • 06.51 Southampton Airport Parkway to Waterloo no longer calls at Woking and arrives in Waterloo earlier at (08.02). See new 06.40 to Waterloo for replacement Woking call at 07.41 • 07.04 Bournemouth to Waterloo will start back from Poole at 06.50 and call at Parkstone (06.54) and Branksome (06.57) • 07.23 Portsmouth Harbour to Waterloo [via Eastleigh] will start later at 07.26 • 07.35 Waterloo to Weymouth is sped up after Southampton Central, no longer calls at Totton, Sway, New Milton, Hinton Admiral, Christchurch or Pokesdown.
