Despite these unprecedented times, literacy is a key priority in SBISD. To grow as learners, students must continue to read and write – whether in person or online, independently or alongside a partner.

We know the challenge of navigating where to start. This guide is designed to help!

What follows are carefully curated lists of recommended summer reading titles for Grades K-8. Y ou will find titles accessible both in print and online, in English and in Spanish, and some that are even available as Audiobooks. All titles are high-quality, engaging books chosen to help foster a lifelong love of reading in your child. What’s inside?

You will also find a Reading Log and Book Bingo board to track your child’s progress and challenge him or her to read a variety of titles.
